Why is it that we are taken to a magical realm when our gaze is fixed on the warm hues of the sinking sun?

Most people would agree that a beautiful sunset has the ability to stop everyone for them to see the sunset. Sunset appears to capture the essence of an incredibly romantic moment of time. Similar to falling in love at the first sight, it slows down the time, leaving us speechless and takes our breath away. We feel the love and thankfulness for Mother Nature radiating from every part of our body and soul within that moment. A new day is promised by a setting sun. The knowledge that we hold knows that there are countless opportunities for tomorrows dawns as the sun's last ray begin to show. Even though we know that it won't last we cherish every last bit of that ephemeral beauty.

As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange pink, and gold there's a visible sense of magic in the air. The world seems to slow down, and for a fleeting moment, all worries and stresses fade away. Such as the enchanting view of the sunset.

I went to our Lola's house to see this wonderful view.

Most significant is that the sunset teaches us how to let go. We must learn to let go of our problems and fears from the day so that we may be totally present in the moment, just as the sun elegantly sets beyond the horizon.

Therefore, the next time you see the beauty of a sunset, stop and enjoy it for a moment. The kaleidoscope of hues painting the sky, the soft air caressing your skin, and the sound of birds singing will be felt.
