  • Good evening, friends of hivefood. I hope you had a fantastic Saturday... Today, I'm going to explain how to make a delicious “cream cheese dip with bells peppers, onions and caramelized raisins”.
    You can enjoy it as an appetizer and serve it with baked cassava, crackers, or toast... Let's put on our aprons and make this delicious treat!
  • Buenas noches amigos de hivefood, espero que hayan pasado un fantástico sábado... En esta ocasión, les explicaré como preparar un delicioso "dip de queso crema con pimientos, cebollas y pasitas caramelizadas".
    Pueden disfrutar como pasapalo y acompañar con: casabe al horno, galletas saladas o pan tostado... Pongámonos el delantal para realizar esta exquisitez!

  • INGREDIENTS: cream cheese, bells peppers (red and green), raisins, onion, sugar, white vinegar, butter, black pepper, and toasted sweet chili seeds for garnish.
  • INGREDIENTES: queso crema, pimientos (rojos y verdes), pasitas, cebolla, azúcar, vinagre blanco, mantequilla, pimienta negra y semillas tostadas de ajíes dulces para decorar.

PREPARATION/PREPARACIÓN

  • Add the onion and bell pepper (both ingredients cut into small cubes) to a nonstick skillet... sauté, adding a dash of mild olive oil and 1 level teaspoon of butter (season with salt and pepper).
  • Incorporamos en un sartén antiadherente la cebolla y el pimiento (ambos ingredientes cortados en cubos pequeños)... sofreímos agregando un toquesito de aceite de oliva suave y 1 cucharadita rasa de mantequilla (salpimentamos).

  • In this step, we add the sugar... the amount will depend on how sweet you want it to be. In my case, 1 heaped tablespoon was enough. Add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and a dash of water, cook over medium heat until it reaches the right texture. Add the raisins, this ingredient will provide a spectacular contrast!
    If you think you need to add more water during the cooking process, you can do so in small amounts. It is important to ensure that the vegetables take on a crystalline, smooth and shiny texture.
  • En este paso, integramos el azúcar... la cantidad dependerá del dulzor que desees disfrutar, en mi caso 1 cucharada colmada fue suficiente. Colocamos 2 cucharadas de vinagre blanco y un toque de agua, cocinamos a fuego "medio" hasta comprobar que tomó la textura adecuada. Añadimos las pasitas, este ingrediente aportará un contraste espectacular!
    Si consideran que durante el proceso de cocción deben añadir más agua pueden hacerlo con pequeños toques, es importante conseguir que las verduras tomen una textura cristalina, suave y brillante.

  • Add the cream cheese to a deep dish, use a fork to make spiral lines, add the caramelized vegetables... garnish with the “toasted sweet pepper seeds,” which will add a VERY tasty crunchy texture!
  • Incorporamos el queso crema en un plato hondo, con ayuda de un tenedor realizamos unas líneas con forma de espiral, agregamos el caramelizado de verduras... decoramos con las "semillas tostadas de ají dulce", este ingrediente aportará una consistencia crujiente MUY sabrosa!
