LOL,that shouldn't really be the intention, that there is a notification for everyone on Peakmonsters, just because you make a poll with SPS Staked. hm... Strange.

Maybe if it becomes problematic they'll change it, but for now, it's pretty useful for me I'd say lol.
also saw this first in PKM, was shocked - thought you poll around taking over SPL :-)
