Siempre he pensado que los mejores dates son los que involucran ir a comer, especialmente cuando es una comida que a ambos les guste o cuando implica ir a conocer un nuevo lugar. Mi novio y yo siempre salimos a comer, generalmente en el centro comercial Traki Cumaná, porque es lo que nos queda al cruzar la calle, literalmente. Así que ya tenemos un par de sitios donde vamos a comer lo mismo de siempre. Y es por eso que variar un poco o ir de una por algo nuevo, resulta bastante satisfactorio. Eso fue lo que hicimos esta semana, probar un local de comida que yo le traía bastantes ganas desde hace un tiempo.

I've always thought that the best dates are those that involve going out to eat, especially when it's a meal that both of us enjoy or when it involves discovering a new place. My boyfriend and I always go out to eat, usually at the Traki Cumaná shopping center, because it's literally just across the street from us. So we already have a couple of places where we go to eat the same thing we always do. That's why it's so satisfying to mix things up a bit or go out for something new. That's what we did this week, trying out a restaurant that I'd been wanting to try for a while.

Les cuento, acá en Cumana hay un local de comida llamado La Qadra, este lo abrieron en la Av Miranda, al lado de Tostados. El cual es uno de los locales de comida que también me gusta muchísimo, ya que venden unos sandwiches muy deliciosos con un sabor único. Creo que son de los mismos dueños, este nuevo local que se especializa en la venta de hamburguesas. Yo la verdad, no había tenido la oportunidad de ir a comer en la cuadra, ya que es una zona que ahorita no frecuente demasiado. Es por eso que cuando este local abrió una segunda sede en el centro comercial Traki, sabía que en algún momento tenía que ir a probar las hamburguesas. Es por eso que, después de analizar nuestras opciones, nos decidimos poder ir a comer en la cuadra, ya que queríamos probarlos y tenían un combo bastante bueno.

Let me tell you, here in Cumaná there's a restaurant called La Qadra, which opened on Miranda Avenue, next to Tostados. It's one of my favorite places to eat because they sell delicious sandwiches with a unique flavor. I think this new place, which specializes in hamburgers, is owned by the same people. To be honest, I hadn't had the opportunity to eat there because it's an area I don't frequent much right now. That's why when this restaurant opened a second location in the Traki shopping center, I knew I had to go try the burgers at some point. So, after considering our options, we decided to go eat on the block, since we wanted to try them and they had a pretty good combo.

Este día nos compramos el combo llamado “el dúo de La Qadra” que trae 2 hamburguesas, una ración de papas pequeñas y un refresco de 1 litro. Las hamburguesas tenían como principal tocineta y recuerda que la otra, que tenía pepinillos, es una de las cosas que mí más me gusta comer, pero le voy a decir que en esta oportunidad me gustó muchísimo más el sabor de la otra hamburguesa. La carne la sentí bastante delgada, era doble carne, pero al ser tan delgada como que no se siente mucho el grosor, pero lo que sí que su sabor era muy intenso y muy bueno estaban crujientes, pero por dentro parecían puré, algo que la verdad, a mí no me molesta y tengo que decir que la hamburguesa era de buen tamaño y a mí la verdad me gustó muchísimo. Siento que ambas hamburguesas salieron casi exactamente iguales, como que no sé, entiende muy bien la diferencia de ambos sabores, pero son hamburguesas muy buenas, y creo que eso es lo que importa al fin de cuentas. Estaba demasiado buena y tengo muchas ganas de repetirlo. Espero que les haya encantado conocer esta experiencia, nos leemos pronto!

Today we bought the combo called “La Qadra Duo,” which comes with two hamburgers, a small serving of fries, and a 1-liter soda. The burgers mainly had bacon, and remember that the other one, which had pickles, is one of my favorite things to eat, but I have to say that this time I liked the taste of the other burger much more. The meat felt quite thin. It was double meat, but because it was so thin, you couldn't really feel the thickness. However, the flavor was very intense and very good. They were crispy on the outside, but inside they seemed like puree, which, to be honest, doesn't bother me, and I have to say that the hamburger was a good size and I really liked it a lot. I feel like both burgers came out almost exactly the same, like, I don't know, you can really tell the difference between the two flavors, but they're both very good burgers, and I think that's what matters in the end.
