Salir con amigos es de las cosas que más nos gusta hacer y si el plan implica comida es aun mejor. Hace un tiempo unos compañeros del trabajo nos invitaron a salir y la idea principal era comer algo, solo que no habíamos definido el lugar ni el tipo de comida hasta que uno de ellos encontró el lugar perfecto, este llamado Emporium Da Pizza que pese a su nombre no solo se trataba de una pizzería sino de un buffet con varias opciones de comida, incluyendo sushi y por supuesto pizzas.
Going out with friends is one of our favorite things to do, and if the plan involves food, it's even better. A while ago, some coworkers invited us out, and the main idea was to get something to eat. We just hadn't decided on a place or what kind of food to order until one of them found the perfect spot: Emporium Da Pizza. Despite its name, it wasn't just a pizzeria, but a buffet with various food options, including sushi and, of course, pizzas.
Nos reunimos en el lugar, escogimos una mesa y cuando ya estábamos todos fuimos al buffet donde cada quien eligió lo que comería. Por mi parte tomé mi plato y vi detalladamente las opciones del momento, en una área encontré arroz, pollo frito, papas fritas, pastas y comida estilo casera. Por otro lado tenían varias opciones de lasaña, estas eran de carne, de pollo, de pan y todas se veían muy buenas. Por último, una parte del buffet era de solamente sushi y aunque no eran tantas las opciones de este las pocas que habían tenían un aspecto delicioso.
We met at the venue, chose a table, and once everyone was there, we went to the buffet where we each selected what we wanted to eat. I took my plate and carefully examined the available options. In one area, I found rice, fried chicken, French fries, pasta, and home-style food. Another section had several lasagna options: meat, chicken, and bread, and they all looked delicious. Finally, one part of the buffet was dedicated solely to sushi, and although there weren't many options, the few that were available looked amazing.
Tenian una gran variedad de salsas para servirte a gusto, pero la verdad no quise probar ninguna y preferí disfrutar de mi comida sin tanta cosa.
They had a wide variety of sauces to choose from, but I honestly didn't want to try any and preferred to enjoy my meal without all the extras.
Mi plato estuvo compuesto de las opciones que me gustaron, eligiendo unas cuantas piezas de sushi para probar, así como una pequeña porción de papas fritas, pollo frito y un trozo de lasaña de carne, y se que puede que está combinación no sea la mejor pero para mí estuvo realmente deliciosa.
My plate consisted of the options I liked, choosing a few pieces of sushi to try, as well as a small portion of French fries, fried chicken, and a piece of meat lasagna. I know this combination might not be the best, but for me it was truly delicious.
Ahora, si se preguntan por las pizzas en este buffet estas las sirven de una manera diferente, pues, a medida que estás van saliendo los mismos meseros se encargan de repartirlas pasando por cada una de las mesas anunciando el tipo de pizza para que el cliente diga si quiere o no. La verdad fueron muchísimos tipos de pizza los que pasaron por nuestra mesa pero yo esperé hasta ver una que realmente me llemara la atención para poder pedir, ya que obviamente no las podía probar todas por ser muchísimas. Al final solo probé la pizza de nacho, la cual incluía Doritos, y como nunca había probado una pizza dulce esta vez me animé probando una llamada Dos Amores que lleva chocolate blanco y chocolate negro, la cual me gustó mucho.
Now, if you're wondering about the pizzas at this buffet, they're served differently. As they come out, the servers themselves distribute them, going from table to table announcing the type of pizza so customers can say whether they want one or not. There were so many different kinds of pizza that passed by our table, but I waited until I saw one that really caught my eye before ordering, since obviously I couldn't try them all because there were so many. In the end, I only tried the nacho pizza, which included Doritos, and since I'd never tried a sweet pizza before, I decided to try one called Dos Amores, which has white and dark chocolate, and I really liked it.
Luego de comer fuimos nuevamente al buffet pero esta vez en busca de un postre, y de estos solo tenían tortas frías y pudín tipo quesillo, pues, ya se había acabado la mayoría de estos y yo me decidí por un trozo pequeño de pudín, el cual me gustó.
After lunch we went back to the buffet, this time looking for dessert. They only had cold cakes and a type of flan pudding, but most of the other options were gone, so I decided on a small piece of pudding, which I liked.
El buffet tuvo un valor de R$ 55 (unos 10.39$ aproximadamente) y para mí estuvo más que bien su precio, ya que comimos muy variado y además probamos muchas opciones incluyendo postre. Pasamos una noche tranquila, compartimos, conversamos y disfrutamos de buena comida.
The buffet cost R$ 55 (approximately $10.39) and I thought it was more than reasonable, as we had a wide variety of food and tried many options, including dessert. We had a relaxing evening, chatting and enjoying good food.
