In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Also, I will include the statistics I collect daily from Rising Star to keep you informed.
After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Act a Fool: Ludacris
Riders on the Storm: Snoop Dogg
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Riders on the Storms of the legendary hip-hop artist Snopp Dogg. The first contact I had with American hip-hop, without a doubt, was with one of its biggest influences, Snopp Dogg. I remember that back in the day I used to play GTA San Andreas Multiplayer (SAMP) and I had friends who listened to songs like “Still” with Dr. Dre, Gin and Juice and Who Am I. I ended up becoming such a fan of the artist, that I even saw a movie in which he participates where I remember he smokes a giant joint.
Snoop Dogg (Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr), is one of the living legends of the Hip-Hop genre. Since his collaboration on Dr Dre's “The Chronic” album, his career became a success, with albums like Doggystyle (1993), Tha Doggfather (1996) and No Limit Top Dogg (1999). The song I'm talking about today is “Riders of the Storm”, it's part of the soundtrack of the legendary racing game Need For Speed Underground 2 (when Electronic Arts made good games) and I consider it the best song they use in the saga.
Before giving the winner of this night's drawing. The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
