Let's make Tilapia Fish in Sour Soup.

in Foodies Bee Hive7 days ago

A little bored with the same old fish dishes, so here I am making a recipe for sour fish soup, which tends to be fresher in sourness, not too heavy in sourness. The sour fish soup here is very healthy because it has many spices that are good for health and does not use cooking oil at all. Anyone can try this recipe and I am sure you will immediately succeed. To make this home recipe there are several ingredients that must be prepared and you should see the recipe below.

The ingredients needed to make this recipe are:

1. 500 grams of Tilapia Fish
Tilapia fish is a freshwater fish, you can use other types of fish if you don't have this type of fish, I chose this fish because I bought it alive so the taste of the fish meat is sweet and not fishy.)

2. 2 pieces of Torch Ginger flowers
If you don't have torch ginger flowers, you can skip them. These torch ginger flowers make the aroma of the fish when cooked even more fragrant and these torch ginger flowers can be eaten and are also good for eliminating body odor.
3. Enough starfruit, approximately 3-4 pieces
This starfruit is still in season in my village, but if you don't have starfruit, we can use green tomatoes as a source of acid.
4. Bay leaves, approximately 3-4 pieces
The bay leaves used can be dry or still green
5. 2 segments of lemongrass
I used two segments of lemongrass, one for me to crush and the other for me to puree

6. 2 cloves of garlic
The number of garlic depends on the size of the onion.
7. 3 cloves of shallots
8. 1 turmeric the size of an adult's little finger
In my serving plate, I use more than one turmeric because my turmeric is very small, but if you choose turmeric in a normal size, then just use 1 turmeric the size of a thin adult's little finger
9. Chili to taste.
The amount of chili is adjusted to each person's level of spiciness so as not to upset the stomach. I use quite a lot of chili because besides the chili that I puree, there is also chili that I only cut in half later

10. Basil leaves to taste
Here I make a little bit of basil leaves and I use 5 basil leaves

11. Water to taste.
12. ½ tablespoon salt
13. ½ tablespoon coriander

How to make this sour tilapia fish soup is

1. The first step is to puree the shallots, garlic, turmeric, chilies and add a little water then blend until smooth.

2. The next step is to sprinkle the tilapia with salt and lemon juice so that the mucus and fishy residue of the tilapia fish will disappear and I wash it thoroughly so that there is no blood left

3. After that, put the tilapia fish into a slightly larger pan. And add the spices that have been pureed earlier

4. Then I put in the torch ginger flowers, starfruit, bay leaves, lemongrass that I have washed and the starfruit and torch ginger leaves that I have split into several parts.

5. Then the next step is to put in the basil leaves and I arrange them until they look like a forest..ha..ha..

6. The next ingredients that go in are salt and coriander.

7. Only after that do I add water again as much as the container of my spice blender which if measured is as much as 1 glass of water.

8. After all the ingredients are in, I cook it over medium heat for about 10 minutes until the water recedes and all the ingredients have been perfectly absorbed. Do not stir the fish during the cooking process. Just let it be and cover the pan. So that all the ingredients are absorbed and the fish does not fall apart. Correct the taste and adjust it to your taste.

9. The sour fish soup can be enjoyed with warm rice.

That was my own sour soup recipe. Please try it and greetings from me Maytom, Indonesia
