I'm just going to dump more of the pictures from that date in this post as I go over the memories I've kept from that day. I didn't even think hard when I saw the prompt for today before I'm reminded of a date I went with a friend more than a year ago. I had so much fun and some firsts experiences that I can't seem to get over the memory in my head.
Well to start, we don't have summer here in Nigeria but we have something similar... The Dry season. This season comes with more sunny days and very few rainy days and I'm guessing that is how it is with summer seasons in other countries.
We had this summer date sometime ago... Yeah, you'll have to permit me to call it a summer date as you read on lol.
My friend suggested and I loved the idea, that we check out a new spot in the city then. Someone had told us about it and emphasized so much about the place having really lively vibes and feels like it's real summer there lol. We laughed at the way she tried to convince us to visit the place but we fell for it and prepared to go there.
Talk of feeling so happy you didn't take some suggestion for granted, we were so glad we fell for it and visited the place. It was a free to enter spot though but the money paid was worth it.
At first, we felt strange being in the midst of so many people around who obviously came to have fun too. We sat quietly, ordered for some drinks and chatted about whatever came to mind until we could start feeling the vibe of the place.
We walked around to see all the designs they had in store for guests, watched games played by some guys and even laughed openly to some girls doing dance videos with their friends, it was just so fun watching that we thought of doing some of the activities too.
I can't even share as much pictures we took that day, both the silly ones like the one you see above and the ones we had awkward dances and not funny joke laughs in it lol. I was thinking I wasn't the kind to be in such a place but it was so much fun for me.
We took more pictures but forgot to ask anyone around to take pictures of the two of us. I guess my friend was as shy as I was to not have thought of that. We played on a seesaw swing that had me stuck for almost an hour as I refused to let it be so we could go home when my friend suggested we leave.
You won't blame me, the last time I sat on one was when I was like 10 I think. It was the only play item in my school playground then lol. She let me play more with it as she made videos of me until we both got tired and ready to leave.
The fun wasn't complete without the laughs we had from watching others act movies they didn't sign up for 😅
It was more entertaining that we saw girls who tried to make the place seem more than it was to us in their videos, I don't even know how to explain that but believe me, I had really good laugh with my friend because of that.
On our way out, we bought some takeaways and went home feeling all excited and ready for what was to come. Can't believe it's been more than a year already since then. I had hoped I would get to feel that way more often but it hasn't really been anything like that since then.
On a serious note, I miss my friend... We're both serving our country at the moment, maybe we would plan for one vacation together when we're done hehe.
