RE: Wednesday Walk in

in Wednesday Walk3 years ago

It has been such a different between your and my country, in Cambodia people are not usually walk to work or school, they prefer motorcycle or car. I just love how people actually enjoy life by walking, it is the best way to burn the calories and count as an exercise too.

Hello Brmey, thank you for your reply. It would be nice if I could agree, but unfortunately it is not the case here in Germany, that people usually walk to work or school. Just the opposite. Here, extremely large cars are driven to get from A to B because if you have a bigger car, it is not as dangerous as small cars. I believe that the streets in your big city centres are at least as dangerous as our streets, but that doesn't really make it any better. That's why there are small pedestrian zones in the citys, where cars are actually forbidden. Other European countries have already gone further. There, entire city centres are made car-free in order to bring back some joy of life. Paris, for example.
And if we are honest, you still have nature and natural forests in Cambodia. We almost don't have that in Germany anymore. And our government is doing everything to destroy what little is left.
I hope your country can stop the clearing of the forest before it is too late and everything looks like it does here.

Thanks you so much for your response! Have a wonderful day my dear!
