Hello everyone, today I'm back in the kitchen again. Recently I've been craving Isaan Thai food, so I had to cook for myself. Today I want to eat Mok Normai Neur Sub (steaming bamboo shoots with minced beef) with sticky rice. I thought of a menu and went to explore the kitchen to see what I could use. It turned out that the ingredients I had were okay. They might not all follow the recipe, but I adapted some of them. Come on, let's cook!

Ingredients for cooking sticky rice
- 500 grams of sticky rice
- Half a pot of water for boiling and steaming

Ingredients for steaming bamboo shoots with minced beef
- Bamboo shoots soaked in yannang leaves (canned bamboo shoots)
- 200 grams of minced beef
- 3 tablespoons of sticky rice soaked in water
- 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon of fermented fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon of seasoning powder
- Lemongrass powder (if you have fresh ones, it's even better)
- 2 onions
- 2-3 spring onions
- 5-7 kaffir lime leaves
- 3-4 fresh chilies

Steps for steaming sticky rice
Soak the sticky rice in plain water for 4-6 hours or overnight, which will make the sticky rice easier to cook and softer. But if anyone forgets to soak the sticky rice, you can pour hot water into the sticky rice and stir to prevent it from sticking together. Soak for about 10-15 minutes before steaming.
When it is soaked, wash the sticky rice and steam it in a pot for about 15-20 minutes before turning it over and checking again to see if it is ready to eat.

Steps for making Mok Normai Neur Sub
Take 3 tablespoons of soaked sticky rice and pound it to cook.
Take the bamboo shoots out of the can and chop them into small pieces to cook. Then boil them until the water boils.
While waiting, cut the vegetables and prepare to add them.
When the bamboo shoots are boiling, add the onions, lime leaves, and fresh chilies. Boil until boiling.
- Add lemongrass powder to increase the aroma. Then add the minced meat and stir to mix. Leave it to cook a little. Add seasoning powder, fish sauce, and fermented fish sauce and stir to mix.
- Then add the pounded sticky rice to make it thicker. Close the lid and wait for everything to cook. Then add the spring onions, turn off the heat and serve.
- Today, I have an additional menu, minced meat omelet, it's delicious when eaten with sticky rice. Everything is ready to eat.
And this is the Thai Isan food that I made. It's very delicious and I'm proud of making it well. Everyone ate it with gusto. I really liked this meal. I hope everyone likes my meal. Thank you for all the following. Have a nice day.
