On random days, we try new recipes. When our phones just couldn’t entertain us anymore. We try to divert our attention to trying new recipes. This time we were craving waffles.

Back in the first year of high school, my aunt would make waffles early in the morning and sell them in school. But I have never tasted the hot waffles. I just realized recently that I only got to eat the leftovers.

Now that we can do things on our own and we already have a waffle maker, we tried doing it.

The first thing I did was whisk the dry ingredients, such as flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In a separate bowl, I also whisked the wet ingredients like eggs, milk, and melted butter. I also added vanilla extract.

Then, I mixed the dry and wet ingredients. Whisked it and tadaaaaaa

This is the result.

Next, I set aside the mixture and preheated the waffle iron to medium-high heat. When it was already hot, I poured the mixture onto the center of the waffle iron. And added a slice of hotdog.

Cook it for three to five minutes or until its color is golden brown. Repeat the same process until the whole mixture is used up.

Finally, the finished product. The waffles were already soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. It offers a bursting mix of salty and sweet flavors, and it is best paired with an apple juice. So yum.

Waffles are a perfect snack for kids. Surely, they will love it. It is healthy, and its ingredients are affordable and easy to find in the market.
