Like one like to say: Three times is the charm! I travelled back to Austin for the third time in October. This time, my girlfriend was also coming with me and it was her first time visiting the USA!
We had direct flights from Frankfurt to Austin and decided to sleep at an airport hotel before leaving in the morning. This had the convenience of parking my car there during the trip as well. The hotel was nothing special, however, it was enough to get some rest before the flight.
We met up with my brother, who lives in Frankfurt, and went to a nice restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is called Friedas Bar & Kitchen and we had a great night:
I just saw that they are rated bad on Tripadvisor and I cannot agree. We liked the location and the food. On Google they have more reviews and are rated 4,8 of 5.

After a long flight, we finally arrived at Austin. We did not go to bed directly because it was the middle of the day. Instead, we went to look at some boots and hats for my girlfriend:
We had dinner at Top Notch, famous from the movie Dazed & Confused. While the food was mediocre, it was very nostalgic to see the place in real life. I did not make it there during my last visits.

Afterwards, we went for a drink at a special bar. It has a Christmas theme going… all year! The cocktail was great and knocked me/us out instantly.
We just went home and got some rest.
