After a long night of sleep, we had some plans for the day. We wanted to visit some friends at their river house near New Braunfels. We wanted to float on the river with some beers and eat some dinner afterwards. On our way, we stopped at BLACK´s Barbecue in New Braunfels:
People in Texas just know how to make great barbecue! We also stopped at a supermarket to bring some drinks for the night. Here are some of the most American things we saw:
The river house was the perfect little hang out after a long flight. I do not have any photos of us tubing, however, I have some photos from walking along the river:
It was kind of funny that we had way too many cakes and pies for desert:
The next day, we went to Austin for the first time. Since I have been there before, I did not take too many photos that day. I just wanted to enjoy the sun and the vibes of the city. We also went to a rooftop bar for a drink, before we ate dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. Loro Asian Smokehouse & Bar did not disappoint this time either!
For the next post, I will have more restaurants and a beautiful walk on the campus of the university in Austin!
