Today here it is a rainy and dark day and so for lunch I decided to cook something good and very nutritious, one of the typical traditions of Tuscany, very similar to fagioli all'uccelletta, a recipe of popular cuisine not very light I admit but really delicious.

For this recipe you need:

  • 500 ml of tomato puree
  • 200 grams of borlotti beans
  • 340 grams of salami
  • 2 white onions
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 200 ml of vegetable broth
  • 4 tablespoons of salt

First, prepare a very large pan with two tablespoons of oil then prepare the salami by cutting it into medium-sized pieces, try to make them all about the same size.

Hoy aquí es un día lluvioso y oscuro y por eso para el almuerzo decidí cocinar algo sabroso y muy nutritivo, una de las tradiciones típicas de la Toscana, muy similar a los fagioli all'uccelletta, una receta de la cocina popular que no es muy ligera, lo admito, pero realmente deliciosa.

Para esta receta necesitarás:

  • 500 ml de puré de tomate
  • 200 gramos de frijoles borlotti
  • 340 gramos de salami
  • 2 cebollas blancas
  • 3 cucharadas de aceite
  • 200 ml de caldo de verduras
  • 4 cucharadas de sal.

Primero preparamos una sartén muy grande con dos cucharadas de aceite luego preparamos el chorizo cortándolo en trozos medianos intentando que sean todos más o menos del mismo tamaño.

Serve hot preferably with a couple of slices of Tuscan bread. A hot, nutritious dish perfect for rainy days.

Luego preparamos la cebolla, la pelamos, como podéis ver en las fotos odio hacerlo, siempre lloro, y luego la cortamos en rodajas y la ponemos en la sartén con el aceite ya dentro, la dejamos a fuego lento durante dos minutos, luego añadimos a la sartén el puré de tomate y el caldo de verduras, mezclamos todo y dejamos hervir durante cinco minutos, luego añadimos las judías si son de lata como las mías, primero las escurrimos bien y luego las ponemos en la sartén y añadimos el aceite restante, continuando la cocción, por último añadimos el salami y la sal, cocinamos todo removiendo a menudo durante unos cuarenta minutos cuando todo estará menos líquido y más sólido.

Servimos caliente, preferiblemente con un par de rebanadas de pan toscano. Un plato cálido y nutritivo perfecto para los días lluviosos.
