Coconut Milk Steamed Bread With Pandan Juice

Roti Seuop or known as steamed bread is a traditional bread recipe. Where this processed bread is prepared during special events as a menu to be served to guests. Steamed bread has a sweet and savory taste with a mixture of coconut milk and also pandan juice as a natural coloring that makes it more fragrant and authentic. In the past, steamed bread was wrapped in banana leaves to get the distinctive aroma of the leaves. But over time this steamed bread has been made modern by preparing it in a container.

This dish is often a menu for many people at home, but again this cake itself has a very authentic taste. And certainly should not be consumed too much because it can make your cholesterol increase. Eat just enough to get great pleasure.

Pandan steamed bread is made from a combination of coconut milk, eggs and also coconut milk essence. The aroma and texture are so soft that anyone will definitely love it.

The following preparation steps are quite easy and of course you can easily find the ingredients around you.




Ingredients Used

5 slices of white bread
2 eggs
¼ teaspoon salt
50 grams of sugar
400 ml thick coconut milk
5 pandan leaves




Preparation Procedure


Prepare sugar, salt and also loose beaten eggs in one container.

Prepare pandan leaves cut into small pieces, then blend with coconut milk until smooth. And strain to get the starch essence of the leaves.

Then mix the starch essence into the egg that has been beaten loose.

Then I cut the bread into small square boxes, then I arrange it in a heat-resistant container.

Add the coconut milk and egg mixture on top of the bread, let it all cover the bread.

Steam the bread in the container until cooked, usually during the cooking process the bread will rise to the top. But don't panic later when it's cooked and a little cool all will return to normal.

My pandan steamed bread can be served warm or in cold conditions is also very good. Now this dish is like a pudding, so you can spoon the cake onto your plate to serve.

Look at the result, it's very pretty, very natural green, plus the aroma of coconut milk and pandan leaves makes it even more attractive.

It was very good, sweet, savory and very creamy. For the sweetness you can determine according to taste, make sure the sweetness is not too over because this is already very good from other ingredients. Well make sure to do according to the instructions that I said yes for better results.
