It is the first Sunday of the year 2024, it is January 6. It's been a bit of a cold day because where I live, but it's a tropical country, so it's not like those movies where when it's cold it snows. Actually, I recently spoke with a relative who is in another country, and she was planning to get together to invite me to visit her next Christmas. I thank her very much for her invitation and I miss her, but I think that where she is, the temperature commonly drops below -10º C when it is Christmas. That kills my desire.
Still, I kind of miss having dinner together, cooking, cleaning the house together, and many other simple things like that. I guess over the years I've gotten a little more nostalgic and a little sentimental. Better let's move on to tell other things that have nothing to do with my personal #life. Let's briefly comment on the anniversary of the #History of the day, which when checking the calendar, I found that it is a somewhat peculiar date.

Es el primer domingo del año 2024, es el día 6 de enero. Ha sido un día un poco frío pro donde vivo, pero es un país tropical, así que no es como esas películas en que cuando hace frío cae nieve. En realidad, hablé hace poco con una familiar que está en otro país y estaba planificando reunir para invitarme a visitarla en la siguiente navidad. Le agradezco mucho la invitación y la extraño a ella, pero pienso en que en donde está ella, la temperatura baja comúnmente por debajo de los -10º C cuando es navidad. Eso me mata las ganas.
Aun así, extraño un poco estar cenando juntos, cocinar, limpiar la casa juntos, y muchas otras cosas simples de este estilo. Supongo que con los años me he puesto un poco más nostálgico y un poco sentimental. Mejor pasemos a contar otras cosas que no tienen que ver con mi #vida personal. Comentemos brevemente sobre la efeméride de la #Historia del día, que al revisar en el calendario me encontré con que es una fecha un poco peculiar.

According to what I read, it is a custom to remove the #Christmas tree on the first Sunday in January, after Three King's Day has passed. In my case, I didn't worry about that, because in reality this past Christmas I limited myself to placing the Bethlehem (Belen, or Nativity Scene), and did not put up the tree decorations.
The question of placing a tree for Christmas is more a custom of countries in boreal regions, or the Northern Hemisphere, and it is also a tradition of Celtic origin, so it has its roots in Celtic traditions. In my case, I live in a tropical country, my cultural roots include a Hispanic heritage, since this land was conquered centuries ago by peninsular Europeans, from the territories that today are Spain and Portugal.

Según lo que leí, es una costumbre el retirar el árbol de navidad el primer domingo de enero, luego de que pasé el día de los Reyes Magos. En mi caso, no me preocupé por eso, porque en realidad esta navidad pasada me limité a colocar el pesebre (Belén o Nacimiento), y no puse la decoración de árbol.
La cuestión de colocar un árbol para navidad es más una costumbre de países de regiones boreales, o el hemisferio norte, además de que es una tradición de origen celta, así que hunde sus raíces en las tradiciones celtas. Para mi caso, yo vivo en un país tropical, mis raíces culturales incluyen una herencia hispana, pues esta tierra fue conquistada hace siglos por europeos peninsulares, de los territorios que hoy en día son España y Portugal.

Anyway, if in your case you put up a #ChristmasTree, then you are already on the date to pick up the decorations and remove said #tree. By the way, in my house if there have been years in which we have put up the tree decorations, it is because today only my brother and I are in this old house. So, we are not in much of a mood to put up all the decorations.

Como sea, si en tu caso si pusiste un árbol de navidad, entonces ya estás en la fecha de recoger la decoración y retirar tal árbol. Por cierto, en mi casa si ha habido años en que hemos colocado la decoración del árbol, es que hoy en día solamente estamos en esta vieja casa mi hermano y yo, así que no estamos de mucho ánimo para poner todas las decoraciones.
Bien, creo que el registro del día de hoy me ha quedado un poco distinto a lo que suelo escribir, pero está bien, variar las cosas no es algo malo. Pero, ya creo que es hora de que me despida, deseándote que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.
