Traditional Sweet Rice topped with raisins, almonds and Coconut strips

Today my in this blog I will share with you guys a new recipe.
Last time I shared Crispy Pumpkin Pakoras, I am happy you all liked my recipe and gave me great feedback. 😍
Today I am going to share with you guys the Sweet Dish.

Let's see how I made it.


Ingredients

  • Rice ( 1 kg )
  • Green Cardamom ( 2 )
  • Yellow Food CLR ( 1 tsp )
  • Sugar ( 500 g )
  • Oil ( 2 cup )
  • Raisins, Almond's & Coconut

Process

Guys, so far I have shared most of the recipes with you, so today I am going to share a sweet dish with you guys.
So, without wasting time, I will tell you how to make it.

I had already soaked the rice. Now I took water in a pot to boil the rice and put it on to boil.
As soon as the water boiled, I added the rice to it.
When the rice was 80 percent cooked, I strained the water from it.

Now I poured oil into a separate vessel and added cardamom to it.
When the cardamom turned brown, I added sugar and then water.

Now I let it cook and added a tablespoon of yellow food coloring to it.
After cooking for a while, as soon as it started to form a little drop, it meant that it was syrupy.

So, I added boiled rice to this syrup, mixed it well, and now waited for the water in it to dry up.
By then I had cut small strips of coconut.

After the water dried up from the rice, I placed a layer of raisins and coconut strips on top of it and then lightly steamed them for about 10 minutes.

So here is my sweet dish of the day. I made it in about 25 minutes.
Now you can see Traditional Sweet Rice looks beautifully festive, the warm yellow color, with raisins, almonds and coconut on top, gives it such a rich and classic touch.


Final Look:

For its final look, I added chopped almonds, coconut strips and raisins on top again while serving.
