How do you feel when you visit the area where you were born? I mean seeing those women who carried you when you were a baby but can no longer carry you because you’re a big girl and that’s women are now old.
I mean seeing that place where you used to sit and play with toys or sand but I played more with sand when I was much younger because that was the only available resource.
On getting there now, everywhere is now tiled and looking clean even though not really clean but kinda manageable and still soothing for people to live.
I went there today with my sister and I visited my primary school to do something.
The picture above is where we call church bus stop. I was born in this area and we lived beside this church. I would have taken he picture to show you the house but when I got there today, the house has been demolished and I even found it difficult to recognize the house at first.
You may be wondering why the place above is called church bus stop but this is the church which made the place popular and that’s why people call it church bus stop. The church is kinda big and wide. At the front of the church, there is a roundabout.
I was shocked seeing it because we never had something like that before. It was a very rough road but the government decided to bless them with a roundabout.
Look at this. This is the front of my primary school. I’m glad that I have a retentive memory even though it was quite difficult for me to locate the school because everywhere has changed.
I realized that it had been repainted. It has always been blue but dark blue before and now, we’ve got light blue here.
This is the school compound. It was not as beautiful as this before.
If you look closely, you will see some ACs on the wall which we never had during my days in the school and things means that my school is progressing.
It wasn’t this beautiful and we never had any writings on the wall but having that now makes me realize that my school is up to date.
You know it would not make sense to barge into the school just like that so the first room we wsaw was the reception and that was when we turned back since we were attended to in that room.
It’s not the best reception I want for my room but it’s better than before. The progress may be slow but as long as there is progress and it is obvious, we are good to go.
The receptionist gave us a warm welcome and I saw the head teacher who was my firmer class teacher.
I was so happy to know that she’s the new head teacher. We chatted and reminisced on good memories but forgot to take a picture with her.
At last, I turned back home but guess what, I took a picture for you all so you could know I had a great day.
