Healthy and nutritious; chicken soup (Eng/Esp)

When we have flu-like symptoms, it is recommended to drink hot teas or soups, so even though I wasn't feeling my best, I decided to check what I had in my fridge to make a comforting soup that would also cheer up my stomach. I have always believed that everyone has their own special formula and touch to achieve that particular flavor that is pleasing to the palate.

Ingredients:

  • 3 pieces of chicken
  • 3 potatoes
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/4 pumpkin
  • 2 onions
  • 1 yuca
  • 11 sweet peppers
  • 1 head of garlic
  • 2 liters of water
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation:

I washed the seasonings and removed the seeds from the chili peppers. I peeled the onions. Then I cut everything into julienne strips.

I crushed the garlic and set it aside for later.

I peeled the cassava, cut it into medium-sized pieces, and parboiled it in plenty of water. A pinch of salt was enough to give it flavor.

I peeled the carrots and the rest of the vegetables. I cut them into medium-sized pieces. I waited for the yuca to soften and added them to the same water, which is the soup.

Shortly after, I added the chicken pieces. Everything was ready in record time, 15 minutes exactly. You also have to take into account that it is a small soup with few ingredients.

Then I added the previously chopped peppers and onions. Ten minutes later, I added the crushed garlic, which gave it a lot of aroma and an extraordinary flavor.

Without a doubt, this soup was just the lunch I needed to recharge my batteries and feel better, so today's culinary adventure was a healthy one.

Cuando tenemos malestar gripal lo que recomiendan es tomar infusiones calientes o sopas, así que, aunque los ánimos no estaban al mejor nivel, decidí revisar lo que tenía en mi nevera para preparar una reconfortante sopa que también alegre mi estómago. Siempre he considerado que cada quien tiene su fórmula y toque especial para lograr ese particular sabor que resulte agradable.

Ingredientes:

  • 3 piezas de pollo
  • 3 papas
  • 1 zanahoria
  • 1/4 de auyama
  • 2 cebollas
  • 1 yuca
  • 11 ajíes dulces
  • 1 cabeza de ajo
  • 2 litros de agua
  • Pizca de sal

Preparación:

Lavé las aliños, extraje las semillas de los ajíes. Retiré las conchas de las cebollas. Posteriormente, dividí todo en julianas.

Trituré los ajos y los reservé para el final.

Retiré las conchas de la yuca, corté en trozos medianos y con suficiente agua las sancoché, un toque de sal fue suficiente para que fueran agarrando gusto.

Retiré las conchas de la zanahoria y el resto de los vegetales. Corté en trozos medianos. Esperé que la yuca ablandara y los añadí a la misma agua, que es la de la sopa.

Poco después, agregué los pedazos de pollo. Todo estaba listo en tiempo récord, 15 minutos exactos. También tiene que ver que es una sopa pequeña y de pocos ingredientes.

Luego agregué los ajíes y cebollas picados con anterioridad. 10 minutos más y añadí los ajos triturados, los cuales concedieron mucho aroma y un sabor extraordinario.

Sin duda, esta sopa fue el almuerzo que necesitaba para recuperar energías y sentirme mejor, así que la aventura culinaria de hoy estuvo llena de salud.
