Sponge cake is very popular in my area, various models are made of ball cake, from any ingredients can be made into a delicious sponge cake, and today I will process pumpkin into a delicious sponge cake with cheese topping and very melted strawberry sauce,

Baked pumpkin sponge cake, this is my first time making this cake, for the recipe I have seen it on the internet, but on the internet it is cooked by steaming, while I cook it by baking it in the oven, well we'll see later how it tastes whether it is delicious steamed or delicious baked, because I have often eaten steamed pumpkin sponge cake, this time I will bake pumpkin sponge cake, hopefully it tastes good too, friends.

Materials used

200 grams of pumpkin
2 eggs
15 tablespoons of wheat flour
4 tablespoons of granulated sugar
3 tablespoons of margarine
1/2 stick of cheddar cheese
1/2 tablespoon of SP
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla powder
100 grams of strawberry jam (optional)


Manufacturing procedure



First


first I peeled the skin of the pumpkin until it was clean, then I cut it into small sizes and I first cleaned the pumpkin, then I steamed the pumpkin for 15 minutes, while the pumpkin was steamed, I continued to break 2 eggs into a container, and I also added baking powder, sugar and salt

Second


Next, I added baking soda, SP and vanilla, then I mixed it until it turned white.After the pumpkin was cooked, I crushed the pumpkin using a spoon, then I added it to the beaten egg, then I mixed again for 2 minutes.

Third


Next, I heat the margarine until it is liquid, I pour it into the dough, then I add the flour little by little while I sift it using a sieve, then I put it in the baking pan, while I heat the oven for 10 minutes.

Four


Next, I baked it using an electric oven at 170 °C with top and bottom heat for 25 minutes. After it was cooked, I spread it with strawberry sauce and grated cheese.

RESULTS

Once cooked, I immediately cut the cake into small pieces so that it would be easy for the kids to take it, and I served it on a serving plate. I ended up with 2 serving plates for the cake. It tasted really good and smelled really fragrant.

The texture of the cake is very soft, plus it has sweet strawberry jam and also has very tasty cheese, and it turns out that the combination of cheese and strawberry jam is very delicious, I will definitely try it again in the future, heheh

Yummy, here in the Philippines we only have squash but not pumpkin. YET pumpkin and squash are same. My aunt cooked this before and its very yummy.
