Does that mean if a Qortal node becomes Level 5, it can sponsor somebody else to be able to mine, but won't be able to mine itself unless sponsored by somebody else? π€π€―π

You only need someone else's sponsor key once for the first week. After that, and you reach level 1, it is no longer necessary, as once you can mint, just keeping your node online will earn QORT. 1 and 2 earn the same percentage, 3 and 4 earn the same percentage, as do 5 and 6. Past that I don't know, but the pattern probably continues. Once someone is sponsored, and s/he reaches level 1, they're good to go, and don't require any outside assistance any longer. πππβ¨π€

I have read on #Qortal account types that a Qortal "User" won't have a "Level" if not sponsored by someone who is at least Level 5 or a Founder, so no minting unless sponsored. ππ€
!LOLZ
Correct. Since the levels are connected to minting, if you can't mint, you won't have a level. Getting sponsorship is not difficult, though. Even though people can have many accounts, they can only mint with one, and self-sponsorship is strongly frowned upon, so much so that they just created a script to remove sponsorship from self-sponsored accounts. πππβ¨π€

Does it mean that they encourage #Qortal users who have multiple minting nodes to run a script to remove self-sponsored nodes, so that they would have only one remaining minting node? π€π€

No, two versions of the algorithm were run on the network. The first run accidently removed minting status from many non-self-sponsoring accounts. That was fixed, and then version two of the algorithm was run, after it was fine tuned more, which did what it was intended. My account was unaffected by any of it, of course. πππβ¨π€

I wonder how the script determined if a #Qortal node was "self-sponsored". π€π€
Anyway, I got curious about your SLOTH tipping command (which was successful), since I got only a few SLOTHBUZZ tokens from tipping. π

I don't know the specifics, but I know it took into account the regular sending of QORT from one account to another in a particular pattern. Honestly I think the need to do that means the system could have been designed better. Qortal is amazing, though, even with it's occasional rough edges.
!SLOTH is actually one that I just became able to tip, and I'm building my staked and undelegated holding as much as I can so that I can tip more. You can tip another time for every 5 that you have staked. πππβ¨π€
Because the term "regular" can be subjective, there can be false positives whenever the script runs. π€
Having 5 SLOTHBUZZ tokens allows you to tip 0.01 SLOTHBUZZ once a day, which means that if you want to tip a total of 1 SLOTHBUZZ token, you need to have 500 of that token and tip 100 times. π€―π
