Methi Gote
Methi Gote is a Gujarati dish made with a mixture of fresh fenugreek leaves and gram flour mixed with spices. They resemble pakodas, but their taste is quite different and delicious. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they are served with gram flour curry, chutney, or ketchup.
Ingredients:
- Fresh fenugreek leaves - 1 cup, finely chopped
- Gram flour - 2 cups
- Semolina - 1/4 cup
- Onion - 1, finely chopped
- Capsicum - 1, finely chopped
- Green chili and ginger paste - 1/4 teaspoon
- Coriander leaves - finely chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 2 teaspoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida - a pinch
- Celery - 1/4 tsp
- Sugar - 2 tsp
- Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Oil for frying
Method:
First, break off the stems of fresh fenugreek leaves and wash them thoroughly with water.

Then, finely chop the fenugreek leaves.

Now put gram flour in a bowl and

add all the dry spices to it


Add chopped fenugreek leaves

Add ginger, garlic, and green chili paste
Then add finely chopped onions and bell peppers

Mix it Now add lemon juice

Then add semolina

And hot oil

Add and mix well. Now add finely chopped coriander leaves.

Then let this mixture rest for 30 minutes.

Then add 1/2 teaspoon baking powder and mix well.

Now heat oil in a pan.

Make small balls with your hands and drop them into the oil.

Fry them while stirring over medium heat.

Now take them out and place them on kitchen paper to drain off any excess oil.

Eat and feed them with hot, sweet and sour gram flour curry.
