RE: Is This Evolution?

I understand the appeal of the city, I’ve always felt better in a blend of both that is not the suburbs but that’s hard to find. But the city makes me feel connected to the larger collective, which I admit is not how most people think of the city, but that’s probably because they are doing it wrong 😆

Many people in the city live work and play in different areas and that’s a nightmare. Also it makes sense to stay in the city or moving around a lot when you are looking for your people and learning about the world. I think the country naturally looks more appealing by 30 or 40 and if it doesn’t, you probably have a lot of addictions 😆

The greatest period of my life was two months in Dali China which had all the artists and travelers and local culture I could ask for to keep things fresh and beautiful nature everywhere, but the work and visa situation there was horrible so I didn’t try to live there.

I imagine id like a small village close to a big city in europe but im notnsure i want to start over from scratch now 😬

I dont mind a changing culture and all that, im just a little disappointed that the legacy of the beats, the hippies, the punks are ….overwmphasizing pronouns and obsession with gender. Where’s the counter culture that has face to face community and isnt into consumerism?
