Extending my gratitude
New year comes in with new resolutions. Another year begins to chase our target. Wishing all ladies of Hive a Happy year to accomplish their target. Here comes another challenging question by @marivic10
Gratitude- a simple nine letterred word leaving behind the beauty of things one gained from another. This can never be expressed in words.
The person and the moment Iam talking about relate to one particular person, my dear little sister, who resides in Singapore. She was always there when need arises.
Let me describe a particular moment that I can never forget. My birthday falls on the second week of December. For me its just like anyother day. My sister arrived on the eve of my Birthday from her country. The very next day her arrival with family members to my place, came as a surprise to me.
By now you should have understood the motive of her visit. Yes, she was here with a birthday cake which put me in a state of embarrassment.
Also, just before the eve of my Birthday I got another cake from my son. To say, that was also an unbelievable surprise because he is just a student and where did the extra money come from ? Two days before the college was hosting a convocation ceremony for the outgoing students and my son was entrusted to photograph the official function. In return, he was paid a small amount from college as a token of gratitude. He saved thia amount to get the cake.
It is not one but too many persons were involved in the year 2023 to whom I wish to extend my gratitude. Another person is a friend of mine whom I got in touch after 20 years. As my son got a chance to attend a conference in the capital city, a place where he is supposed to be a stranger, where language is a problem, this so called friend was the one who assisted him wherever needed. A call after 20 years to a friend for help has proved fruitful and not futile.
Last but not the least, I really extend my gratitude to this lovely community comprising of active members, curators etc., without whose support we can never be a part of the weekly challenges and the contributions their in, making it more lively in the form of hive, voting, words of praise etc. In short, a community that keeps us alive to think and execute.
