RE: Hug Samui

Ah, lovely setting. I really like sunsets, and sunrises, too. This time of year everything seems bathed in a golden light as the sun first comes up.

So nice to have youngsters around. One summer I hosted two fourteen year olds - one from China, one from Japan - both with friends and networks here, but wanting to stay in a "proper" English home. We had a hilarious time. I was useless at the Chinese card games which required too great an agility of mind and memory, so I taught them all Cheat! 😂

Thank you, Shani. The couple of hours either side of sunset are my favourite time of day.

These two usually come down here for a couple of weeks during the big school holidays as we've known them since they were babies and we miss them not being in Bangkok anymore. I taught them both how to play chess from a very early age but I don't play so much with them now....I hate losing haha But it's great they are both almost so good at English and in bilingual schools despite their parents not really speaking much English.

Best wishes and thank-you for dropping by.
