Very much so! Yep, some of those aspen clones can cover not only acres, but even miles, likely sprouting from seeds at the end of the last ice age. π π π β¨ π€
I plant banyan trees here for the same reason, aside from the fact that I love them, because they can live for many thousands of years! π π π β¨ π€

Indeed, it is very meaningful for me. Yes, and they get huge! I have two different species here, and they're both truly incredible once they mature. π π π β¨ π€
There is one specimen of a Chinese weeping banyan in Hilo that covers more than an acre, with the main part of the tree a webwork of interconnected roots and branches. It's truly an epic sight to behold! π π π β¨ π€
