You're right about new wave having it's beginning in the 70s.

I don't know if we've talked about Sirius radio before but if you're not aware they have a great station called First Wave that plays all the new wave hits and I love it.

I can't stand the cars 💤💤 😬 and I find it funny when I hear them played on that new wave station as my memories of cars songs are from 80s top 40 stations. I would even hear them on the classic rock station too.
