La época de navidad es una de las más alegres y maravillosas del año porque no solamente es motivo de unión familiar de regalos música risas y por supuesto no podemos olvidar nuestros sabores tradicionales que nos llaman a la mesa
Realizar las hallacas en la temporada Decembrina sin duda es una de las alegrías más bellas que podemos tener los venezolanos y es que desde que se acerca el mes de diciembre nuestros corazones se llenan de alegría y gozo y es más que un simple plato para nosotros representa la unión familiar, las tradiciones de cada año ésa cultura venezolana que nos representa y que nos llena de alegría. Cada diciembre nos reunimos en la cocina y se transforma en alegría recuerdos amor risas y por supuesto sabores inigualables.
The Christmas season is one of the most joyful and wonderful times of the year because it is not only a reason for family gatherings, gifts, music, laughter, and of course, we cannot forget our traditional flavors that call us to the table.Making hallacas during the December season is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful joys we Venezuelans can experience. As December approaches, our hearts fill with joy and happiness. For us, it is more than just a dish; it represents family unity, the traditions of each year, and that Venezuelan culture that defines us and fills us with joy. Every December, we gather in the kitchen and transform it into a space of joy, memories, love, laughter, and of course, unparalleled flavors.
Realizar las hallacas va más allá de una lista de ingredientes para llenar en la mesa, cada integrante de la familia tiene un papel fundamental y no solamente porque deben colaborar con la elaboración sino porque tienen una esencia que aportar, le dan vida a ésa lugar desde el que limpia las hojas porque con sus risas y ocurrencias nos entretiene, luego está el papá el que dice que es el chef y se la pasa haciendo sugerencia en toda la preparación pero ya tiene tareas asignadas pero no deja de hacernos reír luego está la que pica todos los aliños que cada año está allí porque nadie lo hace mejor que ella y la mamá organizada, ella coordina todo, desde la lista de ingredientes, la distribución de las tareas, ella se asegura que todo esté marchando bien y crean que nos es tarea fácil
Making hallacas goes beyond just a list of ingredients to fill the table; each family member has a fundamental role, not only because they must collaborate in the preparation but also because they bring their own essence to the process. They bring life to the place: starting with the one who cleans the leaves, entertaining us with their laughter and jokes. Then there's the dad, who claims to be the chef and spends his time making suggestions throughout the preparation, even though he has assigned tasks; he never fails to make us laugh. Next is the one who chops all the seasonings, the one who has been there every year because no one does it better than her. And then there's the organized mom; she coordinates everything, from the list of ingredients to the distribution of tasks. She ensures that everything is running smoothly, and believe me, it’s not an easy task.
Mantener viva la tradición de hacer hallacas es esencial para preservar nuestra identidad cultural. Al involucrar a los pequeños de la casa les enseñamos no solo a cocinar, sino también el valor de nuestras costumbres y la historia que los rodea.
Y al final del día obtener éste delicioso platillo, alegría esfuerzo y dedicación envueltos en una hoja de amor venezolano
