Hello my loving Hiveans,
How are you, Good night my dear friend. If tomorrow dawns as you expect, it will be a very successful day for you.The recipe I am bringing to you today is 'Coconut Sambole' which is considered as an essential food for us Sri Lankans, a food that must be included in our breakfast, or a food that is suitable for building energy and a very healthy food. This is making it spicy. Or you can make it less spicy. However, we make this coconut sambole as an indispensable dish in the Sri Lankan daily meal. This is very tasty. So let's see how to prepare it.
Ingredients;
- A cup of grated coconut
- 20g of tiny prawns
- About twenty pepper seeds
- Half teaspoon of salt powder
- One and half tablespoons of oil
- About fifteen dry chili pods
- A piece of pandan leaves
- A few curry leaves
- Two chopped garlic
- A medium sized chopped onion
- About six or seven small chillies
- A teaspoon of lime juice
The method of making;
Break off the nut part of the dry chili pods and let it soak for about ten minutes.
After that we filter the water and grind them. You can even use a blender for that. I use aluminum mortar.
Now we add a part of the chopped onion, garlic, small chillies, pepper and salt powder and these chilli pods and grind them well.
Add the grated coconut to this ground mixture and grind again to mix everything well.
Now put a fan on the stove and add oil to it and when the oil heats up, add the saved chopped onions and pandan leaves with curry leaves and stir fry for about 30 seconds.
Now put these things aside in the stove pan and add tiny prawns and fry for about two minutes.
Now turn off the stove and add the prepared coconut sambolas and stir.
Finally, remove from the heat and stir in the lime juice.
Personally I like the taste of this sambole. Love the smell. Love the color. Also, if you eat this coconut sambol hot with red rice or white rice, it is really delicious. For us Sri Lankans, this coconut sambole is an unmistakable dish. This is really delicious. And good.
Warmly thanking you for reading.
