I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Anyone who's gone deeply into Hive will tell you that one of the most challenging aspects about it is balancing the time that we spend on Hive with our day-to-day lives, and I can speak from a good deal of experience here, this is most definitely the case! Because I am so absolutely committed, dedicated, and relentlessly tenacious to what I'm creating, building, and growing on Hive, fitting that in with what I do in my life here at GaiaYoga has required next-level juggling, as it sure isn't easy, I can tell you that!
Juggling seems to be my primary time-management style, as the array of things that I have to attempt to do within fixed time periods never stops coming, both on Hive, and here in this jungle community. I don't have full days off, only moments at a time. Even after trimming what I do down on Hive to the bare-minimum, most-essential tasks, I still spend many hours on Hive each day, which certainly causes scheduling issues for me here at GaiaYoga, because what I do on Hive must come first. So there's pressure, especially lately on the part of the leadership council, to be more involved in the community. I'm grateful that they want to include me in being a part of things, but man can it be stressful at times.
I have ideas for at least three new post series that excite me, and the only thing that keeps me from making them happen is, you guessed it, time. With how things are now, I'd have to replace one type of post with another, which is not something that I want to do, at least not yet.
Since consistency on Hive is so incredibly important for growth and success, I made myself rock-solid in that regard, through sheer determined will. While I love and appreciate this, I've also noticed several fellow Hivers, with quite large accounts in terms of Hive Power and Reputation, who are far less active than I am, making only periodic posts or comments/replies. I also see others here, again with less time invested each week or month, who are growing notably more quickly than I am. This makes me think that a more mellow and relaxed style of doing Hive can indeed also work. Perhaps I'll shift to that way of doing Hive at some point, but that time is not yet.
Hive is very important to me, as anyone who interacts with me knows well, but I must also be able to find a workable balance with it in my everyday life. I tell people all the time that no matter how amazing Hive is, that life should still take precedence. It would seem that this might be a helpful idea for me to implement in my own life, as well, though I honestly don't know how, because Hive is far too important for me to let fall by the wayside in any way. Period.
Yesterday, Sunday, I left the Flow House, once I had finished up my Hive tasks, around 1:30PM, giving my focus, as I usually do, to photography for these posts first. When I had that done to my satisfaction, I strained and blended kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao) in the Landing, collected a wheelbarrow full of assorted edible foliage for cow-milking food, took a shower, then I took a quick asset-management break up at the Flow House, before going to salvage another wheelbarrow full of plants from my newer, derilict nursery, to transport then across the property, to my older, original nursery. This original nursery, that I only recently cleared and cleaned, is beginning to get a bit full already, so I know that I'll need to expand it pretty soon. After finishing another round on my nursery, I made myself some food (spiced and seasoned mini-beef patties, pepper jack cheese, with a mix of honey and horseradish mustards) in the Landing, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee, I headed back to the Flow House to get into my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I received word around that time that my new computer had arrived, which I went to retrieve. Very sadly this new laptop, which is gorgeous, has to be sent back, because what was shipped is not what was advertised. I need a computer with a hard-drive bay, whereas this one only has space for two SSDs, so it's doesn't work for me. This is incredibly annoying and frustrating, to say the least. I got everything on Hive done quite late, around 12:30AM, and after some asset-management, and a quick scan of my X feed, I went to bed, way too late, at 1AM. I woke up first around 4:30AM, and unable to sleep, I did more asset-management, before making another attempt at sleep. I woke up again, later than usual, around 8:30AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, doing more asset management, writing and publishing My 144th Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update: 2/3 Weekly Goals Achieved, and HPUD Powerup to 9,000 HP!, then getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee, and to attend part of the leadership council meeting. I left there out of necessity around 11:45AM to return to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 1:30PM, so quite a good time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to first focus on more photography for these posts, and then community-land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's iteration of this post! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
