I pray that you have spent a joyful first week in this new year and continue to create more activities that bring happiness in your life.

Back to basics is one of the rulesets that humbles both parties on the board. You may have a powerful combination of warriors ready to take action in the arena but the "Back to basics" ruleset will remove the essential part of these warriors power.

My selection in this edition of the batte mage secret will reveal the option I had to revert to as important element for the success of my strategies.

Are You Not Entertained?: One additional Gladiator card may be used in battles.

Going the Distance: Only Monsters with Ranged attack may be used in battles

Back to Basics: Monsters lose all abilities.

This battle had ruleset that will make normal player in splinterlands hold their head for few second due to the complexity of the restriction. It is not easy to design a counter offensive plan when you are in front of this limitation of cards and abilities to deploy on the battlefield.

I was completely amazed by the way both players counter the limitations impose in the arena by selecting their best summoners in the collection. The shape of the fight was pushed to a new level of actions not frequently seen in this category of combat.

The opponent on the board did a rare choice in this selection and added many abilities that can push his strategy to the next level. However, the reborn element in the opposite side of the board did not help at all.

  • Battle Plan

In the range only battle, it is always proper to put in front line a tanker or a monster that can strike on close range. It was a surprise that the removal of abilities did not stop the warrior in this battle. Each party put the best summoners they hold to boost the selection during the combat.
Astral was the most dangerous summoner in my opinion. He gave the reborn aptitude to all friendly warriors on the battlefield causing the perfect situation of transforming each warrior in a tanker.

  • What happens in the arena?

Opposition fire team in the arena fought to the best of his capability but the defensive measures from the other side of the field were unbreakable.
I have seen the possible chance to compete in the first round due to the fact that Jacek had a team with speed and larger life points in reserve. Despite these advantages and the bonus of abilities from the summoner, the fire team could not take the advantage in this battle.
