Just got to Plitvice lakes (accommodation near it) with a plan of spending a day on the lakes tomorrow. Guess what? It is going to rain all day tomorrow. Starting to think rain is following me 😂 At least waterfalls will be at full strength.
Back to the Hive Fest Split.
I arrived to Split on the day of the opening, after driving around 11 hours. Considering some people were flying for 24 hours and more, this was easy. But arriving at 10AM and being able to check in at 2PM was foreshadowing something that is pretty standard on Hive Fest.
Lack of sleep 😂
After getting 3 hours of sleep in the last 30 or so hours i was off to the bar. In Amsterdam two years ago i was a bit worried how everything will look, how weird will it be to talk with people that i never met. And i knew no one.
There was no need for it, because all this weird people were great.
This time i was happy to see many faces, old and new. Also a bit embarrassed with forgetting a lot of names. I suck at names. I would say i am pretty good with faces, and there were a lot of familiar ones.
Photography side of it. I still didn't really check all the other days, so no idea how did i do. What i learned before and seen it with this first night, but can't stop doing, is that when i try to take photos and also film some video, i am not doing a great job at any of it. It is decent but not great :)
So i only got these usable photos. There were some more with people making weird faces. But not weird enough to be funny.
I love candid photos, but sometimes still feel awkward (i would never guess how to spell this) taking them. If people don't notice me, cool shot or weird face. If they do, most of the time it goes to photo face or they try to ignore me but still conscious of the camera.
Here is the video from the opening night if you missed it
