¡Querido #foodielovers! les saludo esperando que todo este muy bien... en sus cocinas👩🍳 y en sus vidas😊.
Dear #foodielovers! I greet you hoping that all is well... in your cocinas👩🍳 and in your lives😊. The review that I bring below, is the delight of the packaged sea that have me captivated with its flavor and care when elaborated and packaged. In this opportunity, I have tried two brands: one known as Iberia, from Spain (there are other products that are marketed in the country, that is why it is known); the other brand is Vigo, which is also Spanish, but I did not know of its existence). Canned foods are not highly recommended for our health and much less so when it comes to the protein we need in our organism. However, the ones I am telling you about are a perfect alternative for people like me who panic! to buy a raw food from the sea because of the risk that it may not be well washed or preserved and may cause intoxication as a negative effect. That is why I avoid cooking these seafood products at home, which is why I think they are an excellent option for consumption.

Iberia is a recognized brand in our country for the quality of its products and the calamari in oil, are an excellent to solve a lunch or dinner without much effort or expense of materials. The Vigo brand does not have much difference in flavor or consistency, so both are very good.

I live in a city where I can get seafood products easily and at a good price, but I have to wash them, clean them, cook them, preserve them and maybe I don't do it as well as this product that comes ready to serve; besides, its portions are generous, preserved in oil, and with a unique flavor that brings us closer to the sea without the need of cumbersome processes. What we must take into account is that WOW! The amount of oil to preserve it is industrial, so the first time I made a mess uncovering it, but now I do it very easily 😊.

This time, I made them with a white sauce like a bechamel sauce and I just added the can of calamari, mixed it and serve. On other occasions I've eaten them with arepa, stuffed them and cheese on top (a crazy combination but it looks good😉) and even in a salad it looks great too.

Its use is very versatile and I think that seeing some tutorial out there, I will be able to make some tasty and appetizing recipes; it is a pending subject😉.
Now, there is an important point that I liked very much because nowadays we must take care of the products and their high sodium content, therefore, the canned ones because of so many preservatives we can think that they are harmful and increase uric acid as it happens to me with other foods. Well, this is not a problem because it only contains less than 10% of sodium concentration. Although I don't know much about the harm it does us, at least this squid is stored in a special way to avoid that so many preservatives damage the final product.

Another thing I like is that they are gluten free; unfortunately, everything we consume nowadays comes with that component and it has been proven that it is wrong to consume it. I have realized that when I do not consume it, my health improves notably. With these we should not worry, because there it specifies that it does not contain this ingredient. Lastly, I had no idea what a GMO was and while searching I found out that it is a Genetically Modified Organism, that is to say, that they have some kind of process to make them grow or change the flavor (in some cases), and how sad that all our food is that way; because these do not, their “elaboration” process is as natural as possible. I am much calmer, knowing that I am consuming something of quality and healthy. For this and other qualities such as price and a different preparation to surprise the own in the house and visitors, I recommend them and I hope you can try them to make some different preparations in your foods👩🍳.
