I usually don't buy this fish because I thought it can worsen Mom's arthritis or it cause high blood. But then, as I look at it on google, I just found out that it is actually good for both especially due to it's high omega 3 fatty acids. After serving that, I just thought, so I can actually cook this without worrying the oldies. I got so excited, ♪ \(^ω^\ )

You see, I saw a fresh anchovy in the market, it's real fresh and doesn't even have any ice yet. Mama decides to buy half of it, she said she'll make "Tortang Dilis." I said I will just get one of it in her kitchen later. But then, I also found out that the price of per kilo of it is cheap, only 120 pesos per kilo. I have 30 pesos in my wallet and I can already buy 1/4 of that, that's already a lot. At first i am contemplating whether to buy it Because it worries me that Mommy F might eat it and just the thought of the bad effect of it on her made me hesitate.

So to stop myself from worrying, I just look it up on google and I found the answer that I need. And I like the result very much. And it's not like Mommy F will eat a lot of it, haha. So ( /^ω^)/♪♪. And we go back home with a happy heart. I already bought the ingredients needed for the dish i'm about to share today. Just 5 pesos of flour and we already have egg, onions, garlic, pepper, and salt at home so flour is just the missing ingredients.

So here's all the needed ingredients, I will make Tortang Dilis or Anchovy with just a simple ingredients. Mincing the onions and garlic is the next step after cleaning the fish thoroughly. I also used MSG for it to make it more tastier.

Ao next is mixing everything in a bowl, as in everything. I used one large egg and three tablespoon of flour in here and that will bind the fish to make a torta. Easy peasy no? As for the seasonings, I really didn't measure it, just put a little bit of each - ahh, but I added more pepper, for a kick of a lil spiciness.

After mixing them altogether, it should look like this now, perfect! Ehe. I don't really like flour in a torta, but if I want a crunch in it, i should make it crispier. Mama made the same thing here for her lunch and she told ne she didn't use egg in her version. I tried it and it's really crispy.
And it'a frying time!

I cooked them in medium heat, we don't want it to get burn no, slowly, and thoroughly! I cooked them until each side turn golden brown.

And there we have it, nice and crispy! I'm praising it coz I seasoned it really well. It's not too salty and just right when it comes to its taste. I actually eat one while cooking it, just solo. I can't help it, the crispiness is just soooo good. I also love that it is a bit juicy inside, well, that's thanks to the oil, haha. Still, it's really good. We enjoy our lunch, the oldies enjoyed it too ♪┌|∵|┘♪.
I should really cook this more often now...
