I can breathe!
How do you surface from an ocean flooding your lungs and staying trapped inside your body?
Bronchitis and asthma ain't good bedmates. Nearly a week wasted and my symptoms only got a tiny better, but not all issues were addressed by a new doc; both mine were away. I tried telling myself I'm better, but still had to sleep sitting upright, while listening to the crackling and popping coming from within, and wake up choking.

Sunrise on the horizon from my hospital bed.
Funny how being late for an appointment when doing anything at speed somehow turns into a positive, although it was a terrifying ordeal.
I am super thankful that I'm round the corner from my brother's home, that my dear friend @artywink and her hubby came to stay for the week and enfolded me with love and care.
All strength sapped from my body, I let artywink take over the kitchen.
Super thankful to the staff at the Medical Centre right inside the estate I live in who acted fast and got me straight to an excellent healthcare facility.
I was having a full-blown asthma attack on top of the bronchitis. My throat was tightening more and more, asthma pumps and nebulizing did not help, I could not even talk; my airways were letting me down. The oxygen monitor was spiking a bit lower and my heart doing its jumping trick.
The physiotherapist had to abort treatment and called the doctor in the next room, who in turn called the ambulance. I needed emergency treatment. Everyone was so kind and caring, assuring me I'll be fine.
Once in the hands of the paramedics and being given steroids and more nebulizing, my airwaves started relaxing and I could come up for air.
What a relief!
At the hospital ER I was having multiple more intravenous stuff, bloods were taken, then off to the xray department before being taken to my ward.
View from my little ER cubicle.

My quaint little corner of the four bed ward.

Bacterial bronchitis is the enemy within so I'm having oral and IV antibiotics, cortizone. Chest physio and breathing exercises as well.
I never want to experience that suffocating feeling ever again. Panicking only made it worse!
My heart must be strong because it took quite a beating, but I'll hear the other findings as tests come in.
Why am I sharing this with you?
Not only to say why I disappeared; I was exhausted!
But also to warn all of you, my friends. Do not delay anything to do with your lungs; those with asthma, get it under control or you will cause damage like I have. An enlarged lung is going to need a little TLC.
The positive is that I'm now on an active program of breathing exercises and will resume my walking once I'm able.
Already did a five minute walk around the hospital corridors this morning.

Oh, and the food is very good! I suddenly have an appetite again! Must be getting better.
My faith in our private Healthcare system has once again been restored, touch wood! Don't want to tempt fate now do we. But, this again confirms that I made the right decision by buying almost next to my brother and his wife and inside a facility with good Healthcare facilities!
Finally, as it's Tuesday and time for @ablaze's Three Tune Tuesday, I will leave only one song for #ttt, and old favourite song by Harry Styles.
