It’s Bitcoin Pizza Day today! It was 15 years ago, in 2010, that someone bought two pizzas with Bitcoin for the first time—a historic moment. By the way, the price was 10,000 Bitcoins for two pizzas 🍕 Thanks to the pioneers who actually used Bitcoin back then, we have what we have today.
Around Bitcoin Pizza Day, the price of Bitcoin often doesn’t move much—or even drops. Wasn’t it around this time that the Tera/Luna crash happened, too? But this year, it’s a happy occasion with Bitcoin reaching an all-time high. While I also like a quiet Pizza Day, this record-breaking moment made me feel like celebrating, so I splurged a little and bought lots of cheese ☺️
I remembered that my daughter once said she wanted to try making tomato sauce with yellow tomatoes, so today I made a sauce using yellow ones.
I used the cheese cutter I made two years ago at an art university in Austria to prep the cheese. Since it melts and disappears when baked on top, I added it after baking.
Since I bake pizza almost every week, I got the bake just right. Unfortunately, the yellow sauce didn’t show up 💦
We gathered around the table as a family and made a toast. My 10th year with Bitcoin is starting soon. I hope we can celebrate Pizza Day together again next year, in good health.

ビットコインピザデーですね！15年前の2010年にはじめてビットコインでピザが2枚購入された記念すべき日です。ちなみにお代はピザ2枚で1万ビットコイン 🍕 こうして使ってきた先人たちがいてこそ今があるんですよね。
ビットコインピザデーの近辺はあまりビットコインに値動きがなかったり、むしろTera/Lunaの暴落ってこのあたりではなかったっけなんて時期なのですが、今年は過去最高値をつけてめでたいですね。静かなピザデーも好きですが、やっぱり過去最高値はおめでとうという気分で、ちょっと奮発してチーズをたくさん買ってきました ☺️
子供が一度黄色いトマトでトマトソースを作ってみたいと言っていたのを思い出して、今日は黄色いトマトでソースを作ってみました。
2年前にオーストリアの芸術大学で作ったクッキー買ったーでチーズも切っておきました。乗せて焼くと溶けて見えなくなってしまうので後のせします。
ピザは毎週のように焼くので焼き上がりはばっちり。残念ながら黄色いソースは見えません 💦
家族で食卓を囲んで乾杯。ビットコインとのおつきあいも今年で10年目です。来年も元気にピザデーを迎えられたらいいな。
