Have I told you that I'm a total pizza freak? Hahaha sorry for starting off so ‘strong’ with this post but I just felt I had to express it. I am fortunate enough to live relatively close to one of the restaurants with the best pizza I have ever tasted.... And mind you, this statement is not without controversy. Where I live, near Valencia, Venezuela, in a small town called San Diego, not everyone agrees with what I say. But as this is my post, I have the right to say what I feel.
So, this is, as it says in the title, a review about Peluso's, a place where pizza is treated as it should be. However, these lines are not dedicated to describing the taste of the pizza at this place, but to a couple of dishes that are on their menu and that I was able to enjoy recently: Caesar salad and a ‘Miami’ burger (literally, that's the name of the burger). In this regard, I want to be very honest with you.... There is no better surprise than the one that comes when you underestimate something or someone.

Peluso's enjoyed my complete confidence. I have eaten at this restaurant multiple times and I can certify, from my palate and my requirements on how a pizza should be made, that I have nothing but praise. Although, due to previous stomach upsets, I did not order pizza, I ordered Caesar Salad. I thought it would be a small, light dish, nothing too gigantic but when the waitress-girl brought me my order, I was blown away: the smell, the texture of the chicken. Totally crispy, the freshness of the lettuce leaves, crispy and that dressing, oh my God....
Relating pleasure is not always an easy thing to do. However, if you've made it this far into the post, you definitely love eating as much as I do (and I admire you for it). Back to the food. Correct ac temperature, ideal lights, extremely clean tables, first class staff attention, good prices (the whole bill was priced at 22 usd) and the experience in the company of the man I love, made it even more pleasurable.... Of you know what I mean.

I believe it is one of those experiences where going beyond the apparent gives a new value to what I thought I knew. The Miami burger, according to my boyfriend's account, with baked potatoes, was unbeatable. Bacon, gouda cheese, caramelised onion, tomato, lettuce, crispy chicken and honey-mustard made the flavours blend harmoniously on the palate. I can vouch for that. Confused to have taken a bite of your dinner. Clearly, if you read this and live nearby, this is your chance to go. You won't regret it. God, just remembering the taste of that dressing makes my mouth water.... In conclusion, no pizza, but an unusual but delicious combination of gourmet burger and salad. A pleasure with every bite, literally.
