It’s me again, Jean. How are you? Are you feeling alright? Do you have a good day? Are you looking for a delicious snack that is easy to make? A snack that is healthy? Well, today, I want to share with y’all my process of making breadfruit chips. It’s a simple process that you can try at home.
We just have simple ingredients that you can buy in any store as long as you have the breadfruit. These are the ingredients:
• Breadfruit
• Brown sugar
• Oil
It's only three ingredients—three ingredients that turn into a very delicious snack.
At noon, my relatives and my mother decided to cook breadfruit. So that’s why they took it from the tree. They took it separately; they got one breadfruit using a branch of wood and one agricultural tool.
This is my mother. The breadfruit tree is so tall and big.
My cousin climbed it and took the other one.
My cousin looks so small while climbing. He seems like a dwarf HAHAHAHAHA
They gave it to me afterwards as a sign to cook it. Yeah, this is what it looks like.
This is it—the two breadfruits that they took from the tree.
I instructed Mae to peel it off, and she followed what I'd told her to do. She peeled it using a knife; it’s not easy to peel it off since it’s round. She used her strength to be completely done. She gave it to me after she was done.
You really need to be careful when peeling; it's really difficult. By one mistake, you might cut your hands.
After peeling, I've cut it into two, then cut it again into two. Just look at the picture.
Just copy what I did for an easier process.


After you need to get the things that are in the center of the breadfruit.
You should be more careful not to be hurt.
The breadfruit needs to be like this.
After that, I cut it into thin slices so that it could be cooked quickly and crispy.
This is how I cut it; it depends on how you cut the breadfruit.
After slicing, I wash it with water.
Wash it in order to clean it.
Since we don’t have a gas stove or stove, I immediately made a fire using wood and a lighter.
I used a piece of slipper and lighter to start a fire.
Then I put many woods after.
We get used to it. Then, I immediately washed the frying pan afterwards. When there was no water left in the frying pan, I added oil.
If you have much oil, it is better to put in more.
RI hate cooking, but when it comes to snacks, I even volunteer to be the one to cook them. I just love eating snacks and hate cooking any dish. Do you love cooking foods or snacks?
When the oil is hot, I put on the breadfruit. The oil seems to have started flying, which is why I’m afraid to go near the frying pan.
Don't put all your slicing breadfruit in it; it will not become crunchy. Just put some of it in.
After a few minutes, I flipped the breadfruit over to cook the other side.
This is what it looks like.
When I saw it cooked, I immediately moved the breadfruit to each side, which caused it to look like a swimming pool.
So, I put sugar in the middle and let it cook for 2–3 minutes.
When the sugar becomes like this, you need to start mixing it with the breadfruit.
Just mix it constantly, so the sugar will stick to the breadfruit.
This is my finished product. It looks so yummy, isn't it?
For me, I cooked it perfectly. I've achieved my expectations.
