Pork Meat with Vegetables for Lunch and My After-Meal Dessert—TOPPS Strawberry Burst

in Foodies Bee Hive11 hours ago

We rarely eat pork now, it's been a long time since I last cooked it myself because I prefer to just buy cooked dishes with pork as the main ingredient. The oldies don't eat much of it anyways, between pork and chicken meat, chicken is what we eat most. And seriously, pork is my favorite. Ah, we don't eat beef either, so in our house, it's either just pork or chicken (^∇^)ノ♪. We don't eat seafood either, like shrimp, crabs, or lobsters. When I see people eat those, I can't help but envy them. Like they can afford it and we can't. ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌

But anyways, Mommy F is craving for pork meat since last week. She actually asked me to buy it the other day but pork meat cost 475 ($8.35) per kilo here. So I gave that as a reason to Mom, not to buy it. Lol. Like she already knows that it's not good for her, especially she has arthritis. Mommy F is really makulit sometimes so we just make an adjustment to avoid suffering later. But today, I can't give her valid reason anymore why we shouldn't buy meat. She said I could just buy a hundred pesos worth of it, then just buy vegetables to mix with it.

So yeah, that's what I did!

Today's Ingredients is this (^._.^)ノ

  • Grams of Pork Meat
  • half kilo of Chayote
  • 1/4 of Carrots
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Pork Knorr Cubes

Ahhh, and with 2 eggs too, lol. Like I know, what's with the egg. But Mom wants me to put it on top of the dish after cooking today's dish. She said she will eat that and will only eat a few slice of pork. ʘ‿ʘ

Cooking time!

We'll sautee the onion and garlic, before I start cooking, I marinated the pork with salt and pepper for 5 minutes. Next, once the garlic and onion turns golden brown, I added the pork meat and let it cook there. After sauteeing it for like four minutes, I added a cup of water and adjusted the fire and simmer it for 40 minutes. I had to cook it longer, coz even though I already cut the meat into smaller size, the meat is still so chewy, we want our meat a little tender which is easier to chew.

And so while waiting it to be cook, I proceed on peeling and cutting the chayote and carrots. I cut them into a bit bigger but thinner. I actually want to cut it into strip but I want to do different cut style this time, coz why not no? Haha. If only I have the cutter in cute shape ಥ‿ಥ. But stull, i'm satisfied with how I cut this, so \(^o^)/

And after 40 minutes, I out the vegetables and let it cook until the veggies become softer. I put them together, before I have to think first which of the veggies I should put first, which one need more time cooking and which one is faster to soften. But now I don't think much anymore and just put everything altogether, haha. How about you?

And finally! It's done!

Serve while it's still hot! ♪ \(^ω^\ )

We enjoy our lunch. Then I suddenly craved for something sweet. So I check Mommy D's store to see what I could get there.

And this is what I bought. Its called TOPPS, and I got the strawberry burst flavor. I am choosing between this and peach mango flavor, but strawberry flavor is calling me. Haha. It is really siper sweet though. Before eating it I put it for 5 minutes in the fridge, I just feel like doing it. Haha. It has a jam fillings inside but goodness, first bite, the strawberry jam is nowhere in sight. Haha. It is a size of a dot, aigoyahhhhhh ┐(´ー`)┌.

Wow, that's delicious! It's perfect to pair pork meat with vegetables, especially for lunch, and it's also a nice display on the table because it's so delicious that you can finish it quickly, and then there's dessert, which is even better. It's so delicious, it's perfect for lunch.

I really admire you and your posts since you are very "madiskarte".

I would prefer pork over chicken. Pero Kung may fish, SA fish ako. Hehehe. 😁
