Hi everyone! Today I am going to share about an ice-cream outlet that I went to recently. It is called Bing Xue Tea & Ice Cream. There are several branches in Malaysia now but the one I went to is in Batang Kali.

This is the front of the outlet. It had a bold orange theme and easy for people to spot the shop as it stands out of the entire row of shops. I am not sure if we can go upstairs but we can actually sit outside if the weather is suitable and if that's what we prefer because there were some chairs and a ceiling fan as well. However, for the tropical Malaysian weather, I don't recommend it because it is either too warm or rainy and unusual to strike that perfect balanced temperature for an outdoor dessert experience.

This is the overall ambiance of the space. It was so comfortable and had chill vibes because it was so neat and fully air-conditioned. Again, the inside area of the outlet has an orange theme too.

This is at the front of the counter. I noticed tons of lemons stored at the bottom glass container area. On top of the counter, I saw many flowery decorations that looked like congratulatory gifts upon the opening ceremony. This branch is quite new so I guess that's why they kept it there as decoration.

The menu

We can see the menu on both the flat screens on top and also a large menu where every item is displayed with the pricing. I really like how transparent they were and it was very easy to order because we can see everything right there and go up to the counter to place the order once we make up our mind on what we want as there are tons of options.

They also had some posters printed out and set on display to advertise the beverages and desserts. If you are in a rush, then a cone ice-cream or an iced drink will be good. But if you do have some time to spare, then I suggest going all out and ordering a sundae because the portion will be large as it comes with a full cup of ice-cream.

Dining areas

The above is one of the dining areas. This region is closest to the counter and has a space that is more suitable for individuals as the table set for each person is small. It will be too crowded and uncomfortable for more than one person to share one table. I think it serves more of a lobby function because people who are in a rush sit there waiting for their order to be ready.

These are the larger sections of dining area. There were tables for two people and there were also tables suitable for groups of people like friends and families. There were cute decorations on the walls and all the items that they were serving there in a cartoony art form. My family and I sat down at a big table as there were 4 of us.

I also wanted to share this beautiful design depicting the famous skyscrapers of Malaysia that put our country name globally, such as the Petronas Twin Towers and Menara Kuala Lumpur. By the way, there is also high speed WIFI service available. As you can see on the right side, it says "free WiFi". I have covered up the password because I guess it isn't appropriate for me to just reveal it to the public without people visiting first.

Ice-cream

I have actually been to this outlet twice. Hence I am going to mix some of the pictures up as I won't be posting about this twice in a short time. I will combine the ice-creams we got from both the trips into this one post.

This is the one that I ordered. I chose sundae vanilla ice-cream with Oreo topping. I love Oreo so that's what I wanted. The ice-cream was so rich and wasn't the kind that would melt fast. The portion was large and it felt like no matter how quickly I am trying to eat it, it was like a bottomless pit and the portion still won't run out.

This is vanilla sundae with chocolate topping which is what my mother got. It was rich chocolate flavour. So, during the second visit to this place, I ordered the same type of sundae flavour. The second and third pictures are the one I ordered. You can see that it is obvious from the photos it was starting to melt by the time I was done taking all the pictures.

This is matcha ice-cream with mango topping. My brother ordered this. It had a very fruity taste with a light splash of seaweed. I felt like I was eating a strictly vegan ice-cream. While it did taste great, I realized that it wasn't my cup of tea. No more matcha anything for me.

This is vanilla ice-cream with strawberry topping. It tasted good too. I'm not a fan of berries so it was neutral for me. But if I am getting it for free, I am taking it.

This is vanilla ice-cream with brown sugar bubble topping. My brother picked this during the second trip. It was something different as this was actually the first time I tried the beads we find in boba tea usually. They were like hard jellies.

This is vanilla ice-cream with mango topping. It had rich mango taste and the flavours go well along together.

This is the bill we received during the second trip. It costed a total of RM 20.00 for four ice-creams. I think it is a reasonable price for the large portion that we got.

This is me eating the ice-cream. It was so cold and quite solid as it won't melt fast enough for me to gulp.

Me with a mouthful of ice-cream :D

So, on this particular trip, I couldn't finish my ice-cream and took the cup with me to go. It was a lot and I was also in a little bit of a rush as I had somewhere to go. I managed to finish the rest of it in the car with some coughing and sneezing as I was getting cold.

I finally finished it. Piggybacking on the previous point, but yes I sneezed a lot while on my way to get here.

This is close enough to how I was having my ice-cream. Thank you for dropping by and I wish that you have a great day ahead.
