You have beautifully prepared guava filling with cashew nuts which I like very much. I also make guava filling sometimes and eat it. I like it very much. I am very impressed with your recipe. Thank you.
This is truly a delicious dish that I have recently eaten and it is a very fun recipe to eat, especially with this kasundi and salt with guava. It gives a wonderful feeling to my mother. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to see a beautiful food scene.

I completely agree with this beautiful message. Kindness never goes to waste because even the smallest act can make a big difference in someone's life. Sometimes the goodness we share comes back to us when we need it the most. Thank you for this wonderful reminder.
August 2nd will forever be one of my favorite dates in history....
In 2001, my first son was born.
In 2015, my wife and I got married.
Today is a good day.
I saw a celebrity's post about being rejected or refused to partake in a church program he was meant to coordinate because he got divorced.
So the question is:
Is church supposed to be a place of seeking and getting support in time of trials or it's a place for casting sinners or backsliders away?
...they will make the church a place where they give support during trial and also a place where they preach to sinners, and follow them up, not casting them away
Exactly 💯. Correct and discipline them in love, and not leaving them off to be captured by the devil. Only if such person refuses to repent and continuously wallow in sin
That is just the point. But these days, church members and pastor don't really care like before
It's for both, actually.
As a church, every member is important and each should be treated as such. And that means being supportive and loving when each needs it and disciplining them when they are going on the wrong path.
Discipline shouldn't mean hating or making them feel worse about themselves, I think that's where a lot of churches get it wrong.
Really wrong because how on earth do you want to explain losing a sheep to the wolf because he did what he wasn't supposed to do.
Have you heard about some saying "they hand them over to the devil" before?
They didn't say, it's actually written in the Bible. Even God disciplines or punishes who He loves, most of us humans just don't do it out of love.
Don't get me wrong. I know it's in the Bible but there's a clause before that can come in.
But in a case where it's probably the first mistake and he or she is even willing to make amends but because they don't want to be seen associated with him/her, they bring that in.
Nah, that's wrong of them.
There are patterns to watch out for, if the person is willing to make amends, why push them away?
Shey you get! Pushing them away is not in any way proving the parable of the shepherd looking for the one lost sheep when he even had a whole 99
D is a big question right here, I will answer it to the best of my understanding. d church should be everyone's refuge place in the time of needs, joy, sorry, happiness. The church should be open too, belivers and sinners cos that is one of the main purpose of the church
It's been the opposite this era actually and it's so disheartening.
That's why you see people ending up destructively because where they are supposed to be corrected with love, disowned them and chased them off.
No love again in our churches these days, and if there is still love, only few left. Church has now turned into fashion show where people flaunts new clothes and pastor's preaches what people want to hear
But looking at the way some of our churches are today, a lot has happened because people who haven't been called, those who don't even have the understanding of how to led a church now have churches.
B4 you walk from one junction to another, you see like 3 churches with different names and man made doctrines. Now, tell me how those type of churches will support someone during trial when they themselves don't have the basic understanding of what a church is
Likeeeee! Churches are now so many even more than fuel station or schools that people compare it with before and the more churches we have, the more sinful the world becomes
You are right! That is to show you one thing. They are not preaching the true gospel. They just want to feed people with what they need to hear and collect their money in form of offering
What I'm trying to say is that, a church is not just the building but the sanctified people coming together to do god's work, and when sets of people understand what they are in for...
There might even be yet sanctified people amongst and that is why it is compulsory that churches are led by word-driven leaders who would always feed people with true words of God and not just there to pass verdict when they go wrong
Yes, we still have some like that, but they are few. Few chosen ones, plenty self acclaimed pastors
Exactly! I agree with this. And some people have weaponized religion to be that
Sincerely speaking... Some may actually end up been judged based on this whole religion issue aside normal normal sins committed
You are right. People judge us based on religion and a lot of hypocrites too
Exactly 💯.... But in this case it's not the religion but the people leading and there's so much misconception these leaders are building in the hearts of people.
It's all about interpretation of the bible and there is reason to perceive its words as saying that divorce or many other things are not permissible. The problem is more the Bible itself and not as much those who try to interpret it.
I won't be agreeing to this in anyway though. There are processes and standards to things and for the fact that something doesn't favour us in an act does not write it off to be a problem.
The Bible has instructions laid down for whoever wants to have a divorce both in OT and NT
It depends on what he was rejected for. Coordinating an event on a subject that is his spiritual weakness may not be the right job for him. Participating should be generally lenient, though.
Based on the story, he was not allowed to participate. I agree with you that he can't be allowed to lead any sort of program but at least participate and be brought back with God's word
I believe the house of God, be it church or mosque should be a place for everyone including the broken.
Because if it's a place for those who are perfect then a lot of people don't belong there.
You cute a headache not cut off the head.
Very well on point Zalibee.... So many of us won't even be worthy of stepping close to the house of God if that's the verdict
Weekend activity on social media decreases everywhere... but I am still kicking and try to be present even if not the same like during the work week. Guess why...

I am late :)
However, we used to had only one channel for English movies, and it used to play three movies all day long: Mad Max Fury Road; Harry Potter; and one with a kid alone in house and he protects it (I forgot the name)
Home Alone, and later on they gave us HBO max 😂. By then, I had memorized these three movies.
I am late while watching it. It's late to answer, as 2 person already replied to it.

I got these some months ago and a few weeks after, I found out something!
They play weird sounds on their own when disconnected from my phone and still plugged to my ears. 😂
Isn't that creepy?

Is that creepy?
Definitely 😂😂
Honestly speaking, I would have flung mine out the window if I noticed something like that 😜
Ahhh! 😂
I couldn't let go of my money o, I just make sure to unplug once I've disconnected. 😂
I guess they have some mysterious super connection that you have to figure out.
Will be glad to play Sherlock Holmes here. 😅
I didn't pay for super connection when I bought it na. 😂
Lol, you've seen that movie? Please play the role, I need help.
I guess you got more than you wanted. Lol.
Kind of. Well, for a device giving issues, only a detective can detect what's wrong. 😁
Look around you. Are you sure the sound is coming from that device or something behind the windows and doors.
Ahhh that'd be worse o. 😂
It can't be, it's from the earphones. I'm sure of it.
It sounds like bad radio playing.
Lol it can't be bad ears, don't put the blame on my ears. 😂
I don't remember the last time I listened to an actual radio.
I am telling you what I can see from here. And you can’t. Have you seen ghosts before?
I am looking for a ghost who vibes with giving some money, if you come across, dont forget to introduce me too. 😉
I'll send one, does it matter if a scary one but offers a million dollars in rewards

I'd probably sell it because it's so rare and it is one of those things rich-asses will pay for. haha. But you will have to figure it out for yourself. It's worth keeping for bragging rights, too. I just think about all of the other assets I could get when I get stuff like that.
Thank God I'm back from church and ready to relax with cup of tea and a good time with my friends and family by my side enjoying the warmth of the afternoon sun

"police is your friend."
"Bail is free."
These are the words pasted on the walls of police stations, but then, sometimes, it's not really the case.
Have you ever had issues that got the police involved? What's your perspective of the police in your country?

Police are most of the times nasty in many countries. Have you ever had any encounter with them?
Though it wasn't a direct encounter.... Someone in the same vehicle as me was stopped because they carried an engine that don't have a receipt. Rather than following due process, they collected a bribe for it and allow the guy go
They are ignorant to that. So long as they have a few thousand of naira in their pocket, they are fine
Oh no... I haven't!
I grew up with some amount of respect for them, or more specifically, my dad cause he was once one of them.
But that doesn't blur out they fact that they can be bunch of irritants.
Wow.. It's really nice that your dad is actually an officer oo. I can only imagine the level of respect you got
Not at all, but I do hear people's cases it's so terrible, and as for the bail is free, it's a total lie
That "bail is free" is total bull shit. Rather than making bail free, they inflate bail price and threaten to put you in cell if you don't pay up
Police 🚨🚨🚨
Huhm, well I don't know if to say I've had something to do with them though. About three years ago, I was going for a church program together with my friend. Immediately we highlighted from the tricycle, they parked behind us, since we don't even know, we crossed...
We crossed the road to the other side and they kicked again to Uno, cross us in front. Long story short, they searched the bags we are carrying and was disappointed at what they saw, tambourine, Bible, lipgloss, and the likes.
They thought we are yahoo boys 🤣😂🤣
Anywhere yahoo boys dey, police dey always look for way enter, not because they want to serve their country by making the arrest, but because of the plenty money that would come from the yahoo boy
I can only imagine the level of disappointment written all over their faces
Wow seeing your post made me realise I have never been to the police station before.
But from what I've heard a lot of them are corrupt while only a few are serving the country genuinely.
I believe only professionalism and accountability can save the system.
That word...
"police is your friend" is actually a good slogan but from people's experience I don't think anyone believes in that slogan.
You build trust from your actions not just with words.
Omo, I think it depends on whether or not you have money. If you have money, police is your friend. If you don't have money, you're guilty until proven innocent.
Its a good thing that you have not been there before. I would not advice you to even do anything that will take you there. If you don't have money, then police is definitely not your friend.
Though I'll advice you to go to a police station to see how life is over there (not as a convict or something, but as a tourist). Buy gifts for the people there (mostly food. You'll have to taste it first sha),
This banana tree looks wonderful. These trees can grow here in the summer, but they don't have enough time to produce bananas before the cold weather arrives.
Also #bitcoin hardware wallets are not inherently safe. Education is everything!

Thoughts? I myself am for a fully #freemarket, but unlike what we were taught, I don't believe that #capitalism and a Free Market are interchangeable. There are better ways and #socialism isn't one of them, but our #conditioning stops us from finding better solutions.

It's been a while since I last had Yong Tau Foo... and tonight I went with the Hakka-style version. 😋 Packed with vegetables, tofu, and flavorful ingredients, it's both healthy and satisfying. Definitely a meal I'd gladly have again!

The halo effect.
I'd say most of us, if not all are, guilty of it.
Unconsciously assuming someone must have tons of other impressive traits after noticing one positive quality about them.
Sure I've had my share of that as well and now, I think I know better than to throw assumptions.

Studying someone is like studying microbes and parasite oh my God.
It's wide and that is why you don't jump into conclusions just take your time and observe instead of assuming.
She say na oh my God 😭😂😂
Eggxactly. Sometimes, people might show you the fake, sweet part of them initially and after a while, begin to show their true colours. And vice versa.
Yes o that's why I don't like online relationship. Be it friendship or partnership. I just feel there is not always honest and genuine feelings from it.
And there is tendency that one person is lying to the other or even both.
That's understandable cause I've been there before.
I doubted the genuineness of online friendship when a friend talked to me about hers but after one or two experiences of my own, my perspective changed.
Though it all depends on the people you cross paths with 🥲
Many people are actually guilty of this. When they see one positive trait in a person, they would automatically think that that person is a good person. One thing they forget to do is to check that person well for some time, then, decide if that person is good or not

Skills are important, more so in this modern age and world. People; youth and teenagers especially should be encouraged to get a skill or two.
While we go to school and are getting educated, we should be learning skills too. But there are skills that impact us in other ways; soft skills. We should develop such kind of skills too.
And if I may ask...
What’s a skill everyone should learn at least once in their lifetime?
Soft skills, hmmmm that's the skills the aren't technical. I believe everyone should learn at least once in their lifetime was critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills.
Yes, soft skills are those skills that aren't technical. I think these are some good skills you mentioned. We need them in our world.
That's true. They're usually ignored by many while focusing on technical skills only.

We love having these kakanin during rainy cold days. We have kalamay and suman
They say first impression matter and can also be surprisingly convincing, but they aren't always accurate. Cos sometimes we think we have someone completely figured out, only to realize later that you couldn't have been more wrong. Getting to know people has a way of challenging our assumption
Have you ever completely changed your opinion about someone after getting to know them personally? What happened that made you see them differently?
Actually I have someone whom I have recently been talking about which is why it's important that we don't judge people on first impressions.
This person I had bad impression about at first is now a good friend of mine and we hardly go a day without talking or chatting
That's a great example of why first impressions aren't always the full story. Sometimes all it takes is one genuine conversation to reveal a completely different side of someon
Looking back now, what do you think was responsible for your first impression being so wrong?
Everything 😂
The first reason is because I wasn't close to the person. So I was judging him from a far distance.
It was just so wrong you know
It's funny how the less we know someone, the more confident we can be in judging them. I guess proximity has a way of correcting assumptions. Have you become more careful about first impressions since then?
I never saw him talk except to just one person anytime we meet and you know you would find that strange when there is always many people around
I can relate to this. I remember in secondary school,I only talk with my guys, nothing more. There was this day in our class group, I don't know if these ladies had discussed me. They were like I'm proud blah blah blah. Funny thing, I read the chat,....
but still didn't respond to that allegations it was one of my friends that was doing the explanation that I'm not proud, I just like to choose who I relate with
However, people will always have an impression about us even if we relate with others even when we decide not to relate
Yeaah people are entitled to their opinions and not everyone will see you for who you are even if you're the most transparent
Like, I was just like what are these people saying..me and pride in the same sentence. Even if you want to talk, say something else
First impressions decides to a great extent how one see another until there is a close proximity. Knowing someone corrects a lot of assumptions.
I've had a few experiences like that, where I had the wrong impression of someone and someone having the wrong impression of me.
I like that you mentioned proximity. It really does expose the gap between perception and reality. Sometimes the closer we get to people, the more we realize we were judging a version of them that only existed in our minds
Exactly! But I think it's impossible not to have impressions about other people before you go closer. We just need to make sure we don't think worse of anyone since we don't know them.
Exactly! You have a point. We should have something expectations because a lot of people can look like what they are not. It's not by facial appearance but what they have in mind
One of them I remember till today was a girl I always saw as someone from a rich home and I couldn't be friends with her because she seemed to have a bug lifestyle compared to mine.
Long story cut short, we got so close and it turned out she's just into the packaging lifestyle.
That's a perfect example of how appearances can be misleading. It's interesting that what looked like wealth from a distance turned out to be something completely different when you got close. I guess we often mistake confidence or presentation for someone's actual reality
Yeah, I do it a lot before. It's now I am trying to be less judgy when I meet someone for the first time or from afar before I get closer.
I like the fact that you are becoming less judgmental because sometimes that cloud shows how we relate to those people, and we won't get the best from them if they come with good intentions, but I don't mean you should lose guard 😅😂
However, do you think she was intentionally trying to project that image, or was that just how you interpreted her?
Some people are actually like that. Not really because they wanted to live a fake life but because they can't afford to be underrated.
She wasn't trying to actually, she just learned to understand herself early enough, had opportunities and used it well. I'm saying all this in a positive light actually, I admire her resilience in building a life for herself.
Yes I have also judged a book by its cover.
I have a friend who is so caring but because I haven't received such an amount of care especially from a guy, I began to think he probably wants something else.
And I was wrong that was just who he is. I felt bad when I realised.
