Good evening, amazing people!
It's crazy how fast time flies, isn't it? With enrollment for the new school year just around the corner, I can't believe my daughter will soon be stepping into 6th grade. It feels like just yesterday she was starting elementary school! While most people are gearing up for a well-deserved vacation, I find myself knee-deep in house cleaning. It's all about getting everything in order before the hectic school routine kicks back in. But well, once enrollment is out of the way, I'm looking forward to finally relaxing and unwinding. August is still a little ways off, so I plan to make the most of this time to catch my breath before the back-to-school madness begins. It's a juggling act, but finding that balance is key to staying sane amid it all, right?
You know, when I get the chance, my top pick for a getaway is always Baguio City. It's just an hour and a half away from where I live, and I absolutely love the cold weather and the whole vibe of the place. Back when I was still in the corporate world, I actually lived in Baguio for over a decade, so you can imagine how much I've grown to love it. There's something about those mountains—the mist, the lush pine trees—it's like a breath of fresh air every time I'm there.
My friends have been inviting me to join them on a trip up to Baguio, and I'm all for it, but juggling schedules can be a bit tricky. They've been talking about hitting the trails, exploring nature, maybe strolling through the Botanical Garden, or checking out the revamped Camp John Hay. It's been ages since I last set foot in the Botanical Garden, probably back when dinosaurs roamed the earth! Just kidding. I thought about going last Christmas, but the thought of battling through the crowds made me rethink that plan real quick. So, Camp John Hay—that place holds some sweet memories. I recently stumbled upon some old photos of my husband and me taking a stroll through the park. The weather was just right, with a drizzle adding to the charm. We had a blast snapping nature shots, just enjoying each other's company in that peaceful setting, away from all the hustle and bustle. It's these simple moments that make life special, don't you think?

I'm on a bit of a photo hunt here, trying to track down all those memories captured in my camera roll. Here are a few snapshots I managed to dig up. Now, if you haven't had the chance to explore Baguio and, more importantly, Camp John Hay, let me tell you, there's a whole world of places waiting to be discovered once you step foot inside.

The beauty of Baguio and the charm of Camp John Hay are like hidden treasures, each spot more captivating than the last. From the lush nature trails that beckon you to wander to the enchanting Bell House steeped in history, every corner holds a story waiting to unfold. And let's not forget about the Butterfly Sanctuary, a tranquil oasis where colorful wings flutter in harmony with nature's melody. Oh, and the Cemetery of Negativism—trust me, it's a quirky gem that'll leave you chuckling and reflecting all at once. The Yellow Trail offers postcard-worthy views, while the Pine Tree Cafe is a cozy retreat for a much-needed break. And when the sun sets, the amphitheater comes alive with music and laughter against a backdrop of towering pine trees.

Once you step foot in there, it's like opening up a box of surprises - there's so much to see and do that you'll be talking about it long after you've left. It's not just a trip, it's an experience that'll stick with you for ages. So, gear up and get ready for a journey that's bound to be packed with excitement and memories. Trust me, it's going to be a blast!
That's all for now, my friends, and until our next walk adventure! Happy Hump Day!
