Horsetail Season and My Grandmother's Memory
Finally, the morning frost is becoming milder, yet we still have chilly mornings here. Horsetails, those tough and delicate plants of spring, are beginning to emerge. I am planning to harvest and enjoy them soon after the frost dissipates. Afterward, I long for a soothing cup of Sugina tea.
In my hometown, early spring brought forth an abundance of horsetails and butterbur shoots (fukinotou). They adorned the landscape with their beauty and delighted the palate with their delicious flavours. The taste of spring is something I will never forget!
These are my grandmother's crafts. Her artwork is incredibly delicate and beautiful. Now that she is quite old, she no longer creates art pieces. However, my mother preserves some of her artwork, like this horsetail artwork, which I adore deeply. It's simple but very detailed, resembling a real horsetail perfectly! Her other flower artworks are also very charming.

つくしの季節と祖母の思い出
ついに朝の霜が少しずつ和らいできましたが、まだ肌寒い朝が続いています。春の始まりに咲くつくしは頑丈でデリケートな植物です。霜がおりなくなったら、つくしを採って食べようと考えています。つくしの後はすぎな茶も飲もうと思っています。
私の故郷では早春にはつくしやふきのとうがたくさん生えます。春の美しさとおいしさが春の野原を彩っています。春の味は決して忘れることはありません！
これは祖母の作成したクラフトです。祖母のアート作品はとても繊細で美しいです。祖母は歳をとってしまい、もう何かを作ることはなくなってしまいました。母がこうして祖母のアート作品をいくつか保存して飾っています。このつくしのアートは素朴ですがとても繊細で、本物のつくしにそっくりです！もう一方の花のアート作品もとてもかわいらしいです。
