Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well and having a wonderful day. Today, I would like to share our experience during the celebration of the 58th Patronal Fiesta of our Sr. San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers. Since around 85% of the people in our area are farmers, this celebration is very meaningful and special for our community. Every year, many people look forward to this event because it is not only about food and celebration, but also about faith, thanksgiving, unity, and togetherness. This is a once a year celebration so all of our looking forward for this meaningful day.

Honestly, as one of the committee members, organizing the fiesta was not easy at all. There were many responsibilities, lots of preparations, and many expectations from different people. Some people even had very high standards and wanted everything to be perfect. There were moments when I felt pressured and exhausted because we still had many things to prepare before the big day and the fund is limited. But despite all the stress and challenges, I kept reminding myself that we were doing this for the church and for the happiness of the community.

The day before the fiesta was one of the busiest days for us. We spent so much time preparing flowers, vegetables, and simple decorations to make the place look beautiful and presentable. Even though our decorations were simple, we made sure that everything was prepared with love, teamwork, and dedication. I felt happy seeing many people helping during the preparations because the work became lighter and more enjoyable when everyone cooperated.

During the fiesta itself, I was very happy seeing many people attend the Holy Mass and participate in the celebration. Of course, one of the highlights was the community salo-salo where everyone shared food together. We prepared a lot of food, and it was fulfilling to see people happy, satisfied, and enjoying the celebration. Fiesta in the province is truly different because many relatives and families travel from far places just to come home and celebrate together. The atmosphere becomes lively, joyful, and full of laughter.

There were also baptisms during the fiesta celebration, and many families shared their blessings with the church and the community. Honestly, after everything ended, my feet were already hurting because of too much walking, standing, and organizing. I was physically tired, but deep inside my heart, I felt fulfilled because I knew that all our sacrifices and hard work were worth it.

How much is the cotton candy per pack now? My Mom used to give/buy me after punishing me, because well... im naughty 😅

Cotton candy costs around 20 pesos per pack, you memory with your mom is actually very sweet like a small peace offering after being naughty. 😁

A patronal fiesta is indeed more than just a celebration. It's deeply rooted in gratitude, honoring the patron saint for blessings received. 😇

Happy fiesta sister Rona! I really miss fiesta celebration like this. People come to attend Holy fiesta mass then would eat lunch together. Province life is really the best for me.
