Finally, mushrooms! It's been a while since I ate mushrooms because mushrooms were rarely sold at the morning market where I shop!
I was happy, I shopped at a different market, and found oyster mushrooms at a cheap price. For 250 grams, it costs $0.3.
I'm going to cook oyster mushrooms for dinner! And I have broccoli. Oh, what a great combination. Let's see!
I want to make all the ingredients taste delicious, even with a simple cooking method like I often do. Indeed, just a little touch can create a pleasant taste in the cooking experience.
I will invite you to cook mushrooms rice, with broccoli. No need for special ingredients.
The Ingredients Needed
- 150 grams of oyster mushrooms
- 1 small broccoli
- 150 ml of rice, cooked
- 5 cloves of shallots (you can replace with red onion)
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
- optional: red chili
- optional: bay leaves
- optional: 2 teaspoons of sweet soy sauces
How I Cook Mushrooms Rice
The way to cook this dish is similar to stir-fried food. Just stir-frying, but later at the end of the cooking method we only need to mix the cooked rice with mushrooms and broccoli that have also been stir-fried.
But before preparing the vegetables, I first cook the rice using a rice cooker. I don't show you how to cook rice in this recipe because I only use a rice cooker. So you can cook rice according to your own method.
I cleaned the oyster mushrooms first. Then, I cut them into pieces using only my bare hands, like tearing paper.
Then I continued to finely chop the garlic and shallots. I used a manual chopper to make it faster.
And then I switched to chopping the broccoli using the same manual chopper. So, I had to transfer the chopped onion to another container first. And to make the chopped broccoli better, I cut the broccoli into small pieces first so that it fits in the chopper.
I heated the vegetable oil, and then added the chopped onion. Stir until it smells good.
Then, I added chopped chili, bay leaves, and sweet soy sauces. But for those of you who don't like sweet soy sauce, you can skip this ingredient.
Then, I added the chopped broccoli and mushrooms. Stir well, and I cooked them for about 3 minutes. You can adjust the cooking time to the strength of your respective stoves, the most important thing is that the texture of the vegetables does not become too soft.
I don't need to add any more water. Because mushrooms already contain water. So the vegetables will automatically release water.
When the stir-fried mushrooms and broccoli are finished, don't forget to add seasonings such as salt. You can also add mushroom broth powder if you have it.
After adding the seasoning, the final step is to add cooked rice. Stir well, until the rice is evenly mixed with all the ingredients.
Turn off the heat, and can be served while warm. And it's time to eat a delicious meal!
THE RESULTS
It looks creamy even though I don't use margarine or butter. Of course it's healthier. Only need a little oil. 😊
