Happy Birthday @plantpower (vegan)and congratulations for finishing 4 years with respect and good vibes from all around the hive world.
Hello friends and foodlovers, greetings! To celebrate the 4th birthday of #plantpowercommunity,
Hello, friends, all hiveans, food lovers, and community taking challenges, it is my hobby, and I have always wanted to do something new. This time was also totally different from normal.
One thing I wanted to say is that this is not a recipe for a contest.
It is my gratitude to the community, which always encourages all members and newcomers. I am giving away 1500 ecency points to distribute to all those participants in the contest. And a surprise gift of 5 hive to my chosen cake recipe.
Here is
My cake recipe for 4th Plant Power's birthday.
First the preparation of sour milk.
this time I used corn milk. This was my first time trying to make a cake. And it worked very nicely
I removed the kernels from one cob of corn, which was already washed. I placed the kernels in a mixer and blended them into a fine paste. Using cheesecloth, I strained the milky juice and discarded the remaining fibers.
From one cob, I obtained approximately 1 cup and 2 tablespoons of corn milk. I added the juice of half a lime and 2 teaspoons of vinegar to the corn milk, stirred it well, and set it aside.
Next, I cooked 1/2 cup of split chickpeas (chana dal) and made a paste by grinding them and some of the water in a grinder.
And here I had these ingredients:
2 cups of flour
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup avocado oil
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp cocoa
1 cup cooked dal, already made paste
2 tbsp extra milk in case
50 grams of coconut sugar or jaggery
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp coffee
pinch of salt
1 cup of curdled corn milk
Mixed all dry ingredients
flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa, coffee, and half the sugar.
Dry mixture kept aside
In a bowl, I added cooked chana dal paste. Using a hand mixer, gradually added sugar and started blending. Slowly poured in the corn milk, then oil, saving 1 tsp.
lined parchment paper in a cake tray, and brushed it with oil.
Mixed dry and wet ingredients very lightly(fold and cut method) without overdoing it. I forgot the vanilla that I used at the end.
But I spilled some on me,
I poured the batter into a cake tray and baked it at 180 °C in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes. When I checked it with a sharp knife, I removed the cake and let it cool down.
Meanwhile, made a chocolate syrup using coconut jaggery, cocoa, avocado oil, and Dalda plant-based fat, and filled a decorating tube.
made cashew cream using soaked cashews, sugar, and coconut oil. and filled in a plastic cone.
Now the main process is preparing the cake.
Cut the cake into appropriate pieces to make a number 4 shape.
Fixed the gap using chocolate syrup and small cake crumbs.
Spreaded chocolate syrup all over the cake on the sides, and used some cake crumbs.
Decorative text with cashew cream and some free-formed caramelized sugar.
Thank you, and enjoy the celebration
