This is my participation in the vegan mini-contest


Cabbage is one of the most popular vegetables in my country, it is a versatile vegetable and has a very low price. There are different types of cabbage that I have come across local cabbage, imported cabbage and also purple cabbage. It's nice to find cabbage prepared in different ways in my country, salads, fried into bakwan and even sauteed and the most common one I find is combined with noodles.

Now as a cabbage lover of course I love all the preparations I mentioned above. However, my favorite is when cabbage is boiled and then dipped with spicy chili sauce. Cabbage becomes very spectacular, even cabbage in the stew became my mainstay menu when I want to stabilize the weight. I know many of you love raw cabbage in salads. But trust me, cabbage blanched briefly in boiling water and then dipped in a spicy chili sauce is delicious. The flavor is very unique and of course the crunchy and soft texture makes it special for me.

Cabbage is also relatively inexpensive here, and you can find both types: white and purple.

I definitely have to try that simple recipe you mentioned, blanched cabbage then soaked in spicy sauce. It's making my mouth water. Great.

THIS IS MY ENTRY IN THE VEGAN MINI CONTEST

I like to eat raw cabbage in salads. I love shredded white cabbage and carrot salad, but I like it even more when it's combined with red cabbage and carrots. I have a coworker who makes it really well; she has a knack for preparing this salad just right. I like it when we can sit down to eat together and she brings this salad and shares it with me.

I was thinking of making this salad at home, so I bought a couple of pieces at a market and asked my friend for her recipe. Wish me luck!

There's also a Chinese dish that I'm not sure of the name of, which I've tried at several restaurants, but the name varied. I know it's noodles with stir-fried vegetables, I think with soy sauce, and one of the ingredients was cabbage. It also contains some protein. I assure you it's delicious.

ESTA ES MI PARTICIPACIÓN EN EL MINI CONCURSO VEGANO

Hola chicos!, me encanta comer col en diferentes preparaciones, en ensaladas crudas, (acá le decimos así a aquellas ensaladas, que no son cocidas). También me gusta consumirlo en comidas que lleven otros vegetales, sobre todo las de origen asiático, que es donde más lo he visto presente..
También lo he consumido en sopas. Acá lo consumimos en otras preparaciones, como en perros calientes, hamburguesas como acompañamiento, aparte de los aderezos que llevan.

En mi dieta habitual, siempre está presente, así que se me hizo bien fácil participar en este mini concurso, ya que es uno de mis vegetales preferidos, porque se presta para combinarlo con casi todo.

Una vez hice una pizza 🍕 con base de repollo, quedó muy deliciosa.

Por eso en nuestra dieta siempre está presente aunque sea en comidas no tan fitness jajaja pero está, saludos!

THIS IS MY PARTICIPATION IN THE VEGAN MINI CONTEST,

I like to eat it raw, mixed with carrots
I wash the cabbage very well, I chop it very small and I grate the carrots, after I remove the peel, I mix them, I add oil, salt and vinegar, lemon juice and that's it.

I also like to eat it cooked.
I separate the leaves, I wash them very well, I chop them into strips, and also, I chop bell pepper into strips, zucchini chopped into strips, I cut both ends, carrots chopped into very thin julienne strips and I put them to cook in a little water, I add salt, garlic, onion, scallion, chili, when it is well cooked I drain it and I put a little oil.

To detoxify you can consume cabbage juice on an empty stomach, separate the leaves, wash them very well, blend and strain.

These recipes look delicious. We also eat it this way here: finely chopped with carrots, some cilantro leaves, and a dressing, and we call it a shredded salad. The other way to prepare it looks delicious.

Una de las cosas que siempre tengo presente es, lavar y desinfectar muy bien el repollo, ví a mi nuera, enfermarse muy grave con Helicobacter, después de haberlo consumido 🥴, y eso me dejó traumada, creo que ahora lo lavo en exceso, jejeje

Hola, yo lo lavo hoja por hoja. Debajo del chorro.
Y después de que lo pico lo vuelvo a lavar . Y después lo escurro bien y le pongo vinagre.

My mini contest;

Cabbage is one the versatile vegetable that I know, it's nutritious and a medicine. It can be heated, stir fried, eaten fresh and blended.

It can be blended for the water, and taken it. That's still the fresh way of trying it. For people that don't like stir fried or heated one.

I love to take my cabbage heated either by fire or hot water. I really love it in a sauce. Making use of Cabbage in a sauce was how i initially started, and that made me to have special love using in sauce especially when i want to eat my white boiled rice But would love to try taking it fresh.

What you say is true, cabbage can be medicinal, and yes, drinking it in a smoothie is a very original way to consume it.

Cabbage is great because it's cheap, filling, nutritious, versatile, and tasty.

I have heard some in their recipes say it's for vegetable salad. Is it?

This is my mini participation

Cabbage is one veggie that I can always eat mostly when am dieting I prefer and enjoy it raw. So what I do whenever I want to eat it, is I add shredded carrots, cherry tomatoes onions, cucumbers and a bit of lemon juice to it. The mixture of sweet and sour taste feels like heaven in my mouth. I prefer it raw cause of it crunch nature. Cabbage is packed with a whole lots of benefits and nutrients one of which is aid in digestion. And it's also high vitamin C, k, fiber and also an antioxidants.

The good thing about raw cabbage is that it's quite filling, and if we like crunchy food, it's perfect. It's also packed with vitamins, just as you say.

Mi entrada al mini concurso:

El repollo es sin duda muy versátil en la cocina, sin embargo la forma en que aprendí o comencé a comerlo en casa fue en lo que llamamos las ensaladas crudas; que por lo general es simplemente zanahoria rallada y repollo picado finamente; con el tiempo fui preparando otras recetas que llevan este ingrediente.

Una de las formas que más me gusta consumirla es salteadas con vegetales; es simplemente agregar todos los vegetales que pueda o que tenga la mano en ese momento; por lo general me gusta pimentón, cebolla, zanahoria, calabacín, lo corto en tiras y lo llevo a una sartén a sofreír en suficiente aceite, no me gusta añadirle ningún condimento, simplemente sal y el toque infaltable "salsa de soya" para mí es una comida perfecta😋 he preparado con ellos pastelitos, empanadas, arroz salteados con vegetales, pasta salteada con vegetales, creo que no necesita nada más ya que el toque se lo da la salsa de soya.

En mi pueblo se consigue repollo blanco y morado, este es un poco más costoso, aunque la diferencia no es mucha; últimamente he notado que sí ha subido bastante de precio; de hecho, el repollo hace uno dos meses atrás se conseguía en 40 o 50 bolívares y ya está por encima de los 130 bolívares el blanco y creo que como 160 bolívares el repollo morado, bueno todavía está un poco accesible, jejeje

Hace unos días vi una receta con repollo que estoy por preparar, unos bistec de repollo, que luce espectacular, estoy por prepararla y compartirla con ustedes 😁 invito a @liu205 y @adel0512 a unirse a este maravilloso concurso.

Cabbage is a very common vegetable that can be used in different ways.
It is mostly used to prepare salads but there are other amazing ways i love to enjoy my salad.
I love to add it to my rice at the last minute and let it simmer for few seconds.
Not just that, i also love it when my cabbage is stir fried with other amazing vegetables and then used to prepare one of my best snack (spring roll)

En los rollitos es muy delicioso, también me gusta en las limpias que preparo en casa.

Esta es mi participación en el Concurso Vegano

La col o repollo, cuya cabeza redonda de hojas apretadas de color verde claro o morado sobresalen entre los otros vegetales en los puestos del mercado, es un vegetal que me gusta crudo o cocido, pero no muy cocido, que mantenga su sabor. Me encanta comerlo crudo en ensalada rallada con zanahoria y unas hojitas de cilantro. Y es muy rico cuando lo agrego como ingrediente en un shop suey que preparo con tiras de pimentón, cebolla, zanahoria y trocitos de apio españa todo mezclado en un wok con un chorrito de aceite y abundante salsa de soya. Una deliciosa y nutritiva comida que combino con arroz y unas tajadas. Uhm y buen provecho.

This Is My Participation In The (Vegan Mini Contest) #4.

How Do You Prefer To Eat Your Cabbage?

Cabbage 🥬 is indeed a healthy vegetable and superfood we might be neglecting.Its a vegetable with an outstanding nutrient profile, and comes in different colors - green, white, red and purple. But in my country we mostly comes across the green and white cabbage 🥬.

Although we can source and buy the red and purple color cabbage in big grocery shopping 🛍 mails if one really needs them because they come into the country through importations.

I prefer eating my cabbage 🥬 raw, especially in salads 🥗 in combination to cucumber and carrots, properly washed and sterilized with water guard and a bit of salt. And often I enjoy my cabbage boiled with some potatoes added to it making it a recipe of delicious soup 🍲 with some spices that makes it taste good.

And research has also shown that cooked cabbages as vegetable gives and supplies us with more antioxidants such as carotenoids and ferulic acid than they do when eaten raw which is why cabbage should be seen as a super food packed with vitamins C and K.

And apart from being low in calories, salt and sugar, cabbage offers us some protein and fiber as well which is why we should see cabbage as that vegetable plant 🌱 that can support our digestive system, while also knowing that protein from plants 🌱 is considered a healthy alternatives to protein from meat 🍖.

This humble vegetable “cabbage” may not seem like a superfood in the classic sense, but it is packed with benefits for good health.
