The Colours of Daily Life
Colour is everywhere in my life, even though nature is fading little by little because of the cold weather that has recently arrived. I like to find colourful things around me every day. I often forget my phone when I go out for a dog walk, yard work, and more. Every time I forget my phone, great photo opportunities appear, unfortunately!
For example, today it was raining, and I went to the spring spot to fill water with my husband and our dog. Then we decided to visit the local elementary school playground, where we both used to work. We didn’t see anybody because it was Sunday.
My dog loves to explore new things. He had visited the playground when he was very little, but he hadn’t been there for a long time. He looked so excited, and the playground was very colourful. There was green grass, my dog is white, and the playground equipment is colourful. Then suddenly, he found a basketball that had been left on the ground. He loves balls, but he had never played with a ball that big. He looked so excited and played with it all by himself. I wanted to take photos, but I couldn’t.
However, I am still able to take colourful photos at home. My husband cooked nachos yesterday using purple nacho chips. I love blue corn chips very much. The nachos looked so colourful, like purple, white, green, brown, yellow, and red. They were, of course, delicious, and my eyes also felt the flavour of the food.
Another purple thing is my new hoodie, a Toronto Raptors hoodie. I used to play basketball many moons ago, and I was interested in the NBA at that time. I used to wear official NBA clothing, but I stopped buying those kinds of things. Even though I don’t watch the games as much as before, I really liked this logo. The design is simple, and the combination of purple and the black logo looks so cool. I also have a cap that is black with a red logo.
I think I stopped wearing colourful clothes for many years, but nowadays I’ve started adding a little bit of colour again. I mostly like simple colours, but sometimes it’s good to have colourful clothes.
The last photo is of the wood stove and the fire. The flames looked purple and red. My husband made a fire the other day for the first time this year. It was very cozy and peaceful. The fragrance of the wood was wonderful, and the temperature was so stable. I love seeing the colours of the fire like red, purple, blue, white, yellow, and more.

日常の色
生活の中にはいつも色があります。最近は寒くなってきたので自然の色が少しずつ薄れてきていますが、それでも毎日まわりのカラフルなものを見つけるのが好きです。私はよく、犬の散歩や庭仕事などに出るときに、スマホを忘れてしまいます。スマホを忘れると、残念ながら決まって良い写真のチャンスが現れます。
たとえば今日は雨が降る中、主人と犬と一緒に湧き水の場所へ水を汲みに行きました。そのあと、私たちが以前働いていた地元の小学校の校庭に寄ることにしました。日曜日だったので誰もいませんでした。
うちの犬は新しいことを探検するのが大好きです。子犬の頃にその校庭へ行ったことはあったのですが、ずっと行っていませんでした。とても嬉しそうにカラフルな校庭を走り回っていました。緑の芝生、白い犬、そしてカラフルな遊具。すると突然、地面に置きっぱなしにされていたバスケットボールを見つけました。ボールが大好きなのですが、あんなに大きなボールで遊ぶのは初めてです。とても興奮して、ひとりで楽しそうに遊んでいました。本当は写真を撮りたかったのですが、撮れませんでした。
それでも、家ではカラフルな写真を撮ることができます。昨日、主人が紫色のナチョチップを使ってナチョスを作ってくれました。ブルーコーンチップスがとても好きです。ナチョスは紫、白、緑、茶色、黄色、赤と、とても鮮やかでした。もちろん味も美味しくて、目でも美味しさを感じました。
もうひとつの紫は、新しいパーカーです。トロント・ラプターズのパーカー。昔、バスケットボールをしていて、その頃はNBAにも興味がありました。当時はNBAの公式グッズをよく着ていたのですが、いつの間にかそういうものを買わなくなっていました。今は昔ほど試合を見ませんが、このロゴにとても惹かれました。シンプルで、紫に黒いロゴの組み合わせがとてもカッコいいです。ちなみに、黒に赤いロゴのキャップも持っています。
ここ何年もカラフルな服をあまり着ていなかったのですが、最近はまた少しずつ色のある服を着るようになってきました。普段はシンプルな色が好きですが、たまにはカラフルな服もいいものです。
最後の写真は薪ストーブと火です。炎が紫や赤に見えました。先日、主人が今年初の薪ストーブをつけてくれました。とても居心地よくて、穏やかで、木の香りがして、部屋の温度も安定していました。炎の色はいいですね。赤、紫、青、白、黄色…と、いろいろな色に変わっていきます。
