the types of men in manga are just so broad and here are some of them. manga is the japanese version of comics by the way. and another by the way, i have no clue what this poster is for. we just passed by them at ikebukuro station. the artwork looked great so i took a picture. and yes, night was spent in ikebukuro. let me explain.

at 5pm, we got out from home and headed out to the train station. we had an appointment in a restaurant in ikebukuro at 6pm. we still had enough time, and i did not know what to expect at the restaurant. it has also been a while since i visited this area, i was frequent here before but @appleeatingapple moved apartment, and the building with the plant shop had a renovation, so there really was no reason to be here often in these recent months.

it was a dinner out with the housemates, we were 6 in total. it was a yakiniku place with some other all you can eat food other than the meat for grilling. these were the only shots i took the whole 2 hours that we were there. we were all talks and all eat. with such a small griller shared by six, i think i only cooked 1 meat at a time. and since i wanted to reserve even just a small spot for my grilling use, i grilled another slice of meat every time one gets done. that gave me no time to eat. i was always checking the meat. once all the meat i got were cooked, i finally had the time to eat.

one housemate was to leave japan this coming weekend, he shared where he has been and what he has done in the months he was here. he shared how he joined their hiking, his very first apparently. i always thought that he was an avid hiker. he shared how this other housemate brought him to a 6 floored adult shop; we have none of those in cebu. he shared how much of a gamer he was that he plays till dawn in some days. that 2 hours flew by so fast.

as we were on the way to the station, we coincidentally met another friend who was on his way to the clothing store, zara. they were having an anniversary sale. so of we all went and checked there stuff. there were definitely interesting pieces, but they were still a bit pricey despite the "sale" mark. and since none really caught my attention much, nothing bought this time.

it was a very satisfying night; full of laughter and food. what more can i ask for.

as promised, this was the second piece of cake bought yesterday. this was called "kumamoto" and i really don't know why. a bit of chocolate and some chestnut filling, it was another tasty treat. both of my cakes happened to be tasty, no complaints at all. i was even glad that this cake shop was far from home, i would be a frequent customer if it were closer.
