RE: Tashkent City Park at Night: Dancing Fountains, Romance & Smoky Dessert 🌃💦

in Photography Loverslast month

I've been doing it for almost a decade now. Though I was always more inspired by film stock and cinema. I need to upgrade the camera at the moment, and I'm really looking at something like the FX30 (FX3 if some things pick up a bit faster). I wouldn't choose APS-C for photography but for video it's not much different to the sensors Hollywood uses at S35.

My mightmare.

I carry about multiple lenses when I'm outside but each lens is different somehow. And it's very useful if I do shoot video. Either vintage glass or a focal length and totally different type of bokeh. I've been wanting to use my prime 85mm 1.8 more lately now that the artificial lights turn on a bit earlier with the shorter daylight hours.

Oh yeah, maybe I'll get around to shooting videos someday too. I've only been learning photography for a year and a half now, and I'm even afraid to dive into something as complex as video. All these lenses and cameras cost a ton of money, and many people shoot with their phones, but I love shooting with a camera, but I still have a lot to learn.
Is this your hobby, or can you make money from it? For me, it's a hobby, and I want to share it with someone.

It started off as a hobby, then I worked in the UK film industry in camera and lighting, then I ended up here in Armenia and recently started a filmmaking/photo business here. I love doing it so it'll always be a hobby of mine.

The good thing is you got a Sony and they genuinely are great hybrids. You won't need to learn a lot regarding using the camera, just shoot in SLOG3 and learn how to colour grade with Davinci Resolve. Very easy stuff and very fun once you get a bit more familiar with Davinci.

You're going through the natural progression of a hybrid owner, it's inevitable you end up finding cinematic ways to capture the family, then it's a whole new addiction haha

Nice to meet you! If I have any questions about the video, now I know who to ask or get advice from.
